I wonder what it’d take …
I read this morning that teams were fishing, but Cleveland has no intention of trading Miles Garrett.
This is the list of players that Cleveland will consider trading.
Those are some good Guards not saying we’re in the market but dang someone’s gonna get a good football player for mid round pick
We all know Brad isn’t doing that.
The Browns best player?
Garrett has been named to five Pro Bowls, three first-team All-Pros, and was the Defensive Player of the Year in 2023.
Double digit sacks 6 years in a row:
By comparison, Maxx Crosby has had 3 double digit sack years:
After trading 2022, 2023, and 2024 1st Rd picks for bust Deshaun Watson, Browns be like:
They want David Putney too.
That’s Kalif Raymond to you.
Personally, I think the Raiders, and the Browns are dumb if they don’t consider trading their top guys.
Both teams should be in full re-build mode, and the haul of picks they can get would really help jump start it.
We held onto Calvin & Barry … some franchises would rather have their stars stay home.
Not saying I agree with it but it happens
I wish someone wanted James god damn Houston just because they feel like it too.
He’s probably the one defensive player I’d be fine with two 1sts for.
Best defensive player in the league IMO. Apologies to Dexter Lawrence.
Just to ask it. I know getting either Maxx Crosby or Myles Garrett is a pie in the sky type dream. That being said, I know Crosby’s signed for 3 years. What is Garrett’s deal like? Salary cap wise, which guy would actually fit better for the team’s future cap?
Agree…and us keeping them did nothing in the grand scheme of things! I am glad they were ours…and only ours and are a part of the current culture, but it didn’t equate to any quality wins.
Garrett is going to want a new deal but if not we’d inherit him at 2/40m. The money probably doesn’t work long term though.
But Myles Garrett and Aiden starting next year. With these DBs and this offense? My gawd.
True.
Garrett’s going to be 29 years old on December 29, 2024. He’s not getting any younger and the Browns aren’t getting any closer to having a winning season. He’s never going to have more trade value.
That being said, the Browns already have a surplus of draft picks:
The Browns added to their collection of picks for the 2025 NFL draft with the trade of wide receiver Amari Cooper to the Buffalo Bills.
Cleveland currently has eight picks in next April’s draft. They have their own picks in these rounds:
Round 1
Round 2
Round 3
Round 4
Round 6
The Browns have also acquired picks through three different trades over the last two years. That includes deals with Buffalo (Cooper), the Minnesota Vikings (Za’Darius Smith) and the Chicago Bears (Chris Williams).
Those trades have given them picks in the following rounds:
Round 3 (from Buffalo)
Round 6 (from Minnesota)
Round 6 (from Chicago)
Round 6 (from Detroit–for DJP)
That looks like 9 picks to me but who’s counting
Myles Garrett will be awesome till he’s 35 if he wants to play that long.
The money just won’t make any sense ultimately. And it’s more compensation than Brad would entertain.
Smith makes way more sense.
I added the Lions pick at the end from the copy and paste of the article because it was incomplete.
They will regret not trading him like the Panters who got offered a boatload of picks from the Rams for Burns.
Then had to give him away for peanuts basically
