Okorie would have been great at 21. I wanna know what we gave up to get him at 17. Okorie is a bucket getter, but sounds like Langdon “fell in love” with a player and went and got him, even if he could have got him at 21. Sound like anyone you know, LOL. Who knows but I just don’t like the trade-up. Plenty of solid players on the board.
How many 6’1" guards are going to instantly come into the league and impact winning on a team that won 60 games last year?
I don’t care about the trade up because 2nd round picks in the NBA are completely worthless 99.9998% of the time.
Okorie was really good aswell at Stanford and he fits one of the biggest needs for this team… which is a scorer and can do it at all 3 levels. Hes small sure, but 6 foot 8 wingspan really does help with that, and we have seen smaller guards succeed. Im not gonna judge until we see it, he fits a need, im fine with it.
Gave up 3 seconds. Not sure when
Second round picks? I like it much better. That’s OK.
Watch Memphis draft Philon with our pick and let us get to see pictures of Philon in a Pistons hat while we have to watch “Ebuka Okorie” sit on the bench next postseason as Cade fights for his ■■■■■■■ life on the offensive end.
Nobody at 21 is going to instantly come into the league and impact winning especially on a contending team. This isn’t like the NFL draft, any pick outside of the lottery in the NBA is a crapshoot. It’s no reason to get so angry
Lots of players would be really good at Stanford.
Let it go, brah. Philon is dead to us now.
If there isn’t any upgrades to the roster this team is toast. Not toast they suck but toast what we saw last might be all they have. They should’ve got knocked out round 1 if wagner wasn’t hurt. Im just hoping Cody white is a piston July 1st
Then at least take the guy who MIGHT impact winning, instead of someone who’s 6’1".
Yeah good ■■■■■■■ luck with that. None of our GMs have a ■■■■■■■ CLUE what they’re doing.
Someone to compete with Sasser. wooot woot
Ah, cmon. I would have preferred Philon too, but it was close and we don’t know squat compared to the research the team did on Okorie. I will say though, that this pick will probably define how I feel about Langdon’s ability to draft. There were four players available (Anderson, Okorie, Philon, and Evans) who were pretty similar to me. I had Stirtz in the same bucket too, but he went one pick earlier.
Dawg you need to chill just a bit, I get it, but Pistons got who they wanted and we cant change that shit.
rolling with what we got, and we hope he succeeds here, hes got skill set we were looking for.
I think Sasser would look mighty sexy in a Bucks uniform… but it will cost 'em.
Philon is reminding me of Tyrese Maxey, who had no ■■■■■■■ business being available at 21 in 2020. He was clearly one of the better players in that draft in my opinion. He’s become a very good player.
NBA teams make decisions like this all the time and it basically never works out.
