We sort of turned that Langdon article thread into the offseason thread, so I wanted to make a dedicated one with the draft tomorrow and Giannis set to get traded any minute now.

Got banished to the shadow realm.
Randle must have a horrible contract.
Consensus Big Board: 2026 NBA Draft Consensus Big Board - Rookie Scale
Assuming we keep pick 21 (Trajan is no Brad) and excluding the top 10-12 or so, who are you favorites? Least favorites?
For me -
Favorites:
Christian Anderson. Simply the best shooter in the draft. 6’2", but so what?
LeBaron Philon. Scorer, shooter, great handle, not sure why he’s not higher.
Brandon Stirtz. Another bucket getter who can handle the ball and give Cade a rest. Not quick, but smart.
Okorie. This is the consensus pick for the Pistons, we’ve done a ton of work on him. I like the other three better, but let Trajan cook (??)
Of course Yaxel, but he’s going between 10 and 15, I’d say.
DO NOT DRAFT LIST:
Cenac
Koa Peat
Lopez
Steinbach
Ament
33 this year, player option 36 year after so meh, it’s just that he is not a winner. Ball dependent volume scorer and bad 3 shooter with a soft game at the 4, a little injury prone and he has been on what, 5 teams now?
Not a glue guy
yeah, doesn’t make the people around him better. great move by the knicks to dump him and get KAT.
Barring trade up for yaxel
Im team meleek Thomas or Henry veesaar

Pistons fans we escaped. But who knows again
Yeah we did. Herro is rancid White Chocolate.
7 seasons. How many of them did he miss 15 or more games? Six of Seven.
In his nba days averages 56 games a year
I have an extreme bias here but I think Koa Peat is now being pretty underrated in terms of being a really useful 3rd guy off the bench during his rookie contract. I get that the shooting range offers schematic advantages to the opposing defense but he’s a switchable defender, can really handle it and play-make for a big. The shot needs to be broken down and built back up from scratch and that carries some risk, but he has a good work ethic and those guys usually become decent shooters by the time they are 24/25.
I don’t think Christian Anderson will be there but take him if he is.
I’m worried that Anderson is undersized and will be a defensive liability. We already have one undersized guard that barely plays, sure Anderson is a better playmaker than Sasser but putting undersized players on the floor gives the opponent an opportunity to take advantage of mismatches.
But how many of those guys can you afford to carry on your team? Our shot guru (Vinson) is already working overtime with Holland, Duren, Ausar, etc (he’s done a good job with Sasser). I get that we have an identity, and I like the identity, but to me, Peat doesn’t fit with what we already have.
Yeah, his defense is a concern, but he has a 6’6" wingspan, and JBB will preach D like he’s never heard before. He seems to have the tools, if he has the will. Okorie has similar concerns.
The other guy I like is Evans from Duke.
Labaron Philon becomes a Piston today.
