Finally!! Still think they need a 2 tier system with it too.

Intentional - flag and ejected

Unintentional- flag no ejection

Like flagrant 1 and 2 in NBA

Or major and minor in hockey

I think a 2 tiered system is where it’s headed and yes, about time they do something. Biggest question is the definition they will use going forward for each tier.

In an extraordinary move from the SEC and Big Ten, the two conferences are distributing to Congressional lawmakers this week a white paper taking aim at those arguing for the consolidation of media rights, specifically targeting Cody Campbell’s “Saving College Sports” movement.

The arrival of the white paper on Capitol Hill is timely.

More than ever, key political figures, as well as many G6, Big 12 and ACC university leaders, are embracing the concept as a route to a more competitively balanced and financially viable college athletics industry.

SEC & Big Ten leaders are against the concept as - detractors contend - they wish to preserve the current advantageous framework.

The leagues say that the Saving College Sports movement would involve government oversight of the industry and see schools/conferences lose control.

Oh yeah I’m sure that politicians will certainly be honest and even-handed in how they regulate college sports if it comes under their control.

I can already see it school’s donating to people’s campaigns to get them to allow certain things or look the other way.
