NFCN is it the toughest division in football?

Right now the NFCN is the only division where everyone has a winning record.

No one else has more than two winning teams.

NFCN has a combined 14-5 record.
NFCE is 10-9
NFCS is 9-10
NFCW is 8-12

In the AFC

AFCW 11-7
AFCN 8-11
AFCE 8-12
AFCS 8-11

Depending on what happens with Pit and Dal tonight these numbers will change slightly.

Point being the NFCN is 4 games ahead of the next best division.

Can they keep it up? Will they finish as the toughest division in football?

The biggest question I have is can the Lions win more than they lose out of this division? So far only the Vikings have a divisional win.

Vikings started 5-0 in 2016 and had a bye week week 6.

Then they lost 4 games in a row.
Won 1.
Then lost another 4. They were 7-8 then.

Just sayin

Oh yeah Lions swept them that year

Go Lions!!! @ Dal, @Min, Ten

6-1 and a ton of fun

Lions have the @Packers after that, I would be really happy if they go 3-1 on the next 4 games.

I think a 6-2 mark at the halfway mark ks exceptional.

This Vikings team is a more complete team.

They have 139 PF vs 76PA with a 63pt differential. Which is the best in the league.

The Vikes are 4th in scoring offense w/29pts a game. Lions are 6th w/26.

The Vikes are 4th in points given up a game at 14.8. The Lions are 9th at 20.5.

Now if you look at yardage given up both the Lions and Vikes defense drop down into the 20’s. So both defenses give up yards but keep the points down.

The Vikes defense is 2nd against the run while the Lions is 4th.

The Vikes have the worst passing defense in the league while Detroit isn’t far behind at 30th.

When you look at the stats these two teams are closely matched and similarly built.

And by champs he means winning the division.

NFCN is damn good.

It could be the first division to send all four teams to the playoffs.

It sure loks that way right now. But it will even up once the division games start rolling around.

We need to go at least 4-2 in the division. There are no cupckes this year. Thankfully, No one else is putting together a great record in the NFC. Rooting for the Cheifs tonite agains the Saints.

After our Dallas game, we will play a well-rested 5-0 Vikings team. A chance to knock off our second undefeated team of the year, (3-0 seahawks).

And in the last game of the year, we will be coming off a cross- country Monday night game with the Niners to play the Vikings. Schedule-makers did us no favors there.

We need to at least split with them. Best chance might be two weeks from now.

Of course. We finally git gud and everyone else can’t take it.
Was hoping for a season or two of mid 2010’s AFCE.
You know,Pats good, other 3 crap.
Oh well. Gotta beat the good teams to be a great team.

I agree.

Somehow it feels better thinking they will roast our division and then other good teams are SF and Philly. It just makes it seem easier.

Right now it feels like if they win the division they will be the 1 seed. But the second place team in the North could likely hold the 2nd best record which sucks.

The last 12 games are going to be fun. Half against the NFCN. It really had felt like this has all been pre-season and the bullets start flying against Dallas.

13 game season and it looks like they might need to go 10-3 to win the Division. And I am not positive 13-4 wins it right now. But 12-5 and they are a WC that much I am certain.

For now… wait until we smash the ball down their throats.

Their DBs are 35 years old that’ll eventually catch up.

No Aaron Jones will make the offense a lot more vanilla in the pass game …the screen game has been deadly for them so far this year.

Sam Darnold will regress. I mentioned in your other thread that you bumped that he would have gaudy #s but will also make huge bonehead plays that cost the team. He started doing that last week.

If you don’t like my 2016 Minny example then take the Vikings from 2022 when they were 10-2 and we smacked them around. They ended up getting bounce round 1 of playoffs.

Or 2023 Eagles they were what, 10-0 last yera then they got smacked around and collapsed bounced round 1 of playoffs.

Or the 2021 Cardinals they were 10-2 and we smacked them around too that year and the wheels fells off and they got bounced round 1.

VIKINGS ARE FRAUDS

The Lions have shown over the first 3 years of this regime that they improve as the season goes on, so I haven’t lost any faith in them. I expect it. Yet there are challenges ahead us. We’ll have to meet them rather than expect the Vikings to meltdown.

First things first. Shovel the Cowpies!!

Second things second. Smack the Vikings around.

Don’t look now, but the last place team in the NFC North is 4-2. They would be in first place in the NFC West.

The NFCN teams are 1st, 2nd, 3rd and tied for 4th in the conference in point differential :eyes:

And 3 of those teams are actually good.

I must be the high guy on the Bears around here. I don’t think they’re a division winner but they sure look like a 10ish win team to me.
