Keep it here!
Deep Classes for both of them
TE3 for us is something to look at and Az Thomas i 100 percent believe is on our board.
Tight Ends im interested in, some prospects can really boost their stocks with a good performance today (Fannin, Taylor, Arroyo)
Lame
I feared it, i really did
That scares me on him a bit tbh.
I’m not overly worried, he’s not gonna blaze we already know that. I guess if he’s been running in the 4.6s and backed out because of that I’d be worried, but I suspect this is just agent BS. Running in the 4.5s is boring and doesn’t create any buzz, but to do that at his non-televised pro day.
One of the Sirius shows discussed the number or players not performing drills this year and causes of it.
One reason offered was the expansion of the CFB playoffs to 12 teams, the last four teams ended their seasons 4wks ago. Players not in the playoffs have been training for 7-10weeks to get ready for the combine. Meanwhile players from the final four, 40 of them iirc, are probably still dealing with minor issues from a recently completed season.
If they went ahead and did drills at the combine there is a good chance their performance wouldn’t be as good as those with longer training. Thus negatively impacting their draft status means smarter to do drills at their campus pro-days.
Which then takes a little bit away from this now NFL made for tv combine.
Easy fix for the league, ban their employees (scouts) from attending pro days. They’ll never do it, but with that one move you’ll see everyone work out at the combine except top ten guys, whether they’re ready or not.
Also I prefer to see guys do these drills/tests when they haven’t practiced for them specifically.
Well, those days have been long gone.
But they’d come back if the league banned their employees from attending pro days, at least for the guys with long seasons.
Don’t ever see that happening, as you also stated, not in the best interest of the players, or the teams, who have extended seasons or are dealing with injuries.
Or make it a competition and add some money to the mix.
No me either, but you know at some point the league will want to do something about players not working out at the combine. And what the league wants, it gets. They are trying out to join it, after all.
Or that. Although it would have to be big money. Just let these guys bet on themselves now that you can bet on combine times lol.
Not sure. Million to the grand prize winner and 250k for each position group winner. Some sort of overall point system. NFL puts up 10m. I bet the ratings boost would pay for it in large part.
Well they gotta do something. Or maybe it’s better to say they WILL do something. They always do.
The one event I want to see today is when these TEs meet Fred the sled. This will separate those who are familiar with Fred and others who want nothing to do with him.
Watch Bartholomew, if he does it.
First measurement I’ve seen:
