So, I do a mock on their site and unless you get a DE in the first 2 rounds, there’s this big jump in Edge rankings. It goes from 86 to 120, that’s 24 spots.
How close is this to real life in this instance?

I actually have Overton below Lucas and Crawford personally, so shift it up one lol.
This is why I like to use mockdrafthero. You can toggle the “draft boards” between the mock draft database, Draft Tek, PFF and PFSN so you can very quickly see how they differentiate. And unlike other mock sites, you can do it mid-draft.
Depends. Some teams will have some guys not on boards at all for whatever reason. Some will rank guys super high, some will rank them super low.
We can all speculate from the outside on a player’s actual talent vs. others and rank them like that, but when it comes to real-life, I’m guessing most team will have “buckets”/round grades and some of these guys will be interchangeable.
That’s why the draft is stupid/ and fun as a fan. It’s so interesting to see where guys actually end up going or falling to or getting taken way earlier than you expect.
I just dont have to do it anymore.
I use to average out the top 10 boards.
ESPN, CBS, PFF, PFN, etc
Average out every player. And yea theres a lot of variance between boards. Some of them simply don’t update regularly. Like maybe 3x from the SB to draft day.
Others like PFF update almost daily.
But for OL, DL, & QB Thats typical. Having a large gap somewhere like that. Mid 3rd to 5th round
edge with 2nd round grade+ (under 64) then how many with 3rd round grade (under ~120)
PFSN: 9 & 5 (14)
PFF 13 & 7 (20)
ESPN 10 & 5 (15)
CBS 8 & 5 (13)
MDD 11 & 6 (17)
So yea a massive variant difference. Thats why you ALWAYS have to take them all with a gain of salt.
Hence why i go how may guys at a position are available at a certain draft pick +10
So lions at 17. Depending on the board 3-4 edges available (~27th over all or better)
Pick 50 9-12 available. (~60th over all or better)
Etc
I keep reading that the Overton window has shifted, and I think they are right.
Overton pre combine
Early 2nd
Now?
Late 3rd. The SLIIIIDE.
I honestly think he might be a UDFA
Mean while UCF Lawrence
Went from mid 4th to mid 2nd
When do we get an early look at Thats2 big board 26
I’m working on it, still a lot of deeper guys to get through.
I think FA is dumber than the draft. wild world of cap space, as in they select free agents like they have limitless money.
