Nick Bosa Maybe being Dealt

Wow thanks for sharing. AFC is strong and is gonna be a gauntlet

Lynch’s first year in 2017 was 6-10 and the following year 4-12. Let’s not pretend he had overnight success.

I think the Trey Lance situation is prolly why he would be on the hot seat

3 firsts round picks, Dolphins got Cheetah, Waddle, Bradley Chubb, and another player (cant remember)

SF gets 2 games of Trey Lance, and trades him in his 3rd year for a 4th round pick

your right, i would rank him and shanahan higher than Holmes and Campbell atm, but considering they havent gotten over the hump and won a championship during this window

his seat should be getting warmer, and depending how this Bosa situation goes, may make it worse for him

Also, yes he drafted PUrdy, but no one thought he would have popped off like that last year he was QB3 for them

Purdy is one of the big things thats keeping Lynch afloat rn, and if they dont win in like two-three years during this window?

very reasonable to see him getting the boot

All guaranteed money has to go into an escrow account the moment the contract is signed. After that the money is completely out of their control. The Raiders traded Khalil Mack to the Bears tfe year before they moved to Vegas. It was a shitty trade for them but I’m convinced Mark Davis needed the money that otherwise would have been guaranteed.

tbf he inherited a team that was destroyed by Trent Baalke, reasonable for him not have the best record, he had to rebuild that team.

I know he inherited a crappy team, but it took a couple years before they got it turned around. I mean look at their roster in 2017 and look at our roster that started in 2021 and tell me we were that much more talented.

Well certainly let’s not leave out the fact that the very next year his team was in the Super Bowl

I’m not saying he didn’t do a good job and I’m well aware of what they’ve done recently. My point is that it took him a couple of years before success.

I know…I guess my angle is that the first two years shouldn’t be held against him when it comes to comparing him to Brad Holmes. Maybe I’m off on this one though…but I think going to a Super Bowl after a 10-22 start is quite remarkable.

I agree. They’ve done a great job. Do I think we’re going to the Super Bowl in Brad’s 3rd year? I’m a realist and the odds are very slim of that happening. However playoffs and a playoff win are certainly attainable, BUT I do believe things will have to go right and key players will have to stay healthy. At the very least this team should make the playoffs.

Trey Lance isn’t even the first bust Lynch has drafted with the 3rd overall pick. He also traded for Jimmy G and immediately gave him a contract near the top of the market. The saving grace there was that the team was so bad they ate the money at the front end of the deal so its not lingering now. He took another bust in the 1st round named Rueben Foster.

Lynch also traded a 1st team all pro player in DeForest Buckner. He chose not to pay Buckner but has used premium resources on guys like Javon Kinlaw and Javon Hargrave. Kinlaw was taken with the pick they received from the Colts and they signed Hargrave to the exact same contract Buckner got from the Colts (4 years $84M). The cap was lower back then, but the 49ers had more money to spend back then. While I was typing this it hit me for the first time that both guys names are Javon. LOL

Everything they do in San Fran is ass backwards. They keep losing talent.

If they had any clue how to get or develop a QB they would have probably won 3 SBs by now. Will be hilarious if Lance turns out to be a good QB once he actually gets some development and playing time.

i did bring Kinlaw in one of my earlier posts, def a bust, but Lance was much worse and easily the most egregious of them all

Hargrave will be nice for that line but yeah atm, will be interesting to see how things go down for 49ers rn

Final comment from OP (it got deleted, but a redditor coppied it down before it got deleted):

“Final comment: Bosa pretty much ■■■■■■ the 49ers here. Completely. Either he’s:

  1. Traded and compensation won’t help the 49ers in their Super Bowl push this year. The 49ers FO may justify the trade by getting an EDGE player in return or try to scoop someone at the trade deadline.
  2. Or he is going to make way, way, way more than the 49ers can afford because York is afraid to lose him. Will handicap team’s future and they will probably lose Aiyuk and a couple other starters because of his monstrosity of a contract.”

I legit thinking hes asking for 40 mil a year, like a QB contract, and with the Chris Jones situation rn…

wouldnt shock me to see him maybe sit out and wait, even if he gets tagged, someone will pay that man

This coming from a fanbase that has won ONE PLAYOFF GAME IN 66 YEARS?? I mean come on…teams have to make moves to keep shit flowing…they traded for Jimmy G and he led them to a Super Bowl. That was his ceiling…they rode it out and ultimately they made another Conference championship run with Jimmy before they decided to move on from him. But here is the key…they stayed competitive…they haven’t gone 30+ years without winning in the payoffs.

What’s that have to do with how pathetic the lions have been? Fact is Shanahan and Lynch made a terrible move on Lance both trading up to get him and then throwing him away. Just because I’m a Lions fan doesn’t mean I can’t be critical of other teams??

No you cannot! LOL, there is a thought in certain corners that, as a fan of a losing team, for decades no less, you cannot have opinions on winning or even average teams as you obviously do not have knowledge in those areas. Similar to the you don’t have enough posts so you don’t have credibility thought that exists on some msg boards…not here.

And the above was in humor no serious.

No, not pointed at @Richard_Parker
