A big part of the way we do that is to have the defense thinking so much, they’re hesitant. They play the game on their heels.
IMO that’s true of any dominant running game, they get the defense on their heels in one way or another. Sometimes that’s through straight kicking their asses, but imo it’s VERY rare in today’s NFL to just line guys up and say fire off the ball and push them back. Teams will just commit more and more guys to stopping the run.
Scheme is important. Defenses should be thinking, not reacting. To me that’s one of Ben’s greatest strengths as an OC. Our running game is complex.
Once you demoralize them with your scheme and power, then it becomes much easier to just pound their dicks into the dirt.
That’s why I wanted Skoronski last year.
Glasgow proved plenty worthy…he was a stud last year.
It’s no wonder why our offense was elite

Skoronski had a pretty up and down year for Tennessee though. No guarantee he would have helped us much.
You want a rookie who hit the ground running, it’s Steve Avila in LA. He was basically immediately dominant.

I still think Foxy-boy is better at what he does, but Sewell definitely plays a position of muuuuuuch higher value & is muuuuch more warrior mentality. Fox truly has no clue how good he is at his job. Sewell owns the ■■■■ out of exactly who he is. He’s coming to eat your GD lunch every play!
