He’s a badass. Our offense is at least partly structured around the things he can do. You can’t say that about very many offensive lineman. Ever.
I’ve been saying this for 2 years… if your favorite Lion isn’t Sewell… u are doing something wrong ![]()
Best tackle in the nfl… and he’s barely legal drinking age

Lions best player, to state the obvious, and before long might be a top 10 player in the league. I think THAT highly of him, guy is a unicorn with the power/athleticism combination and he’s also a Tight End with soft hands. Stud
All Pro Sewell on his way now to Hall of Fame Sewell
He’s already a top 10 player in the league, according to this:
Love him.
Imagine…we have another 15 years of him dominating the NFL…
I really love him…
Hope he never changes.
Clone him asap. Imagine Sewell playing Defensive tackle!? Essentially Chris Jones but better.
His cousin’s in this draft, just saying…
Of course even his own brothers can’t hold a candle to him as a player, so maybe cousin is too far distant.
Clone him and give him a new name. It’s his cousin I swear ![]()

They’re certainly built similarly…
Ill tell you…if Penei promised me that Kinsgley would be a clone of him…
I wouldn’t think twice. No one would.
So many good Lions…but Penei…
My favorite…
No one mentions this (or even paid attention to it)…,
but…in the NCCG…
Penei was on the sideline after a run (cant remember if it was Gibbs or David)…of the 49ers…and he walked slow…to the huddle…basically daring the 49ers sideline to say soemthing…and he walked tall…
They said nothing.
I’ve never seen a Detroit Lion player do that in my life. Not even Suh …
He is a special guy.
Love him…and he wont steer us wrong.
I love him.
He’s the best I’ve ever seen at some of the stuff he does in the run game. Has been that way (relative to his age) since he was 18.
The way he can move at his size is just so unusual. No one can mimic a lot of the things we do - especially in the run game - because of it. There’s just not another OL who moves like him.
Don’t get lost in “movement”…
Straight power vs. power…
Who wins the Oklahoma drill?
Starts there
Yes, he has the power as well. But there are a lot of insanely strong OL (Larry Allen was a freaking truck with legs), but to me what sets Penei apart from the others is the way he moves.
The cousins are built the same, but are they wired similarly? If, so bring him in next to Penei.
Alas, that might be the problem. There are work ethic whispers about Kingsley. And certainly his tape doesn’t scream 1st rounder. The thought is Sewell will straighten him out, but would our FO really give that opportunity?
Imagine putting a dominant guard next to Sewell…
You tell me?
We will set the tone…
We have to get a dominant gaurd next to him.
I’d love it.
But he needs to be able to move as well imo.
