Going to get this thread started early while I’m sitting in my hunting blind. I won’t have time tomorrow as I’m planning to head down early to the game.
Well it looks like Fields is starting. I knew they would bring him back for this game. Personally I think they’ve held him out purposefully so he’d be healthy for this game. Knowing our struggles with mobile QB’s this could be a real test for our defense. The Bears have been 2-2 without Fields over the last 4 games so they’ve been playing better lately.
The Lions swept the Bears last season, 31-30 and 41-10. It’s no easy task to beat a division rival 2 times in a row let alone 3.
Detroit is a 7.5-point favorite while the over/under is 48.
Matt Eberfus has yet to have a victory vs a division rival and the Bears fans have high hopes this will be it.
I personally expect Fields to make a game of this but ultimately Bears mistakes and Fields tendency to make a crucial mistake push the Lions ahead and they cover.
Question: Anyone going to the second
Matchup in Chicago? …. I’ve got tickets and plan to head over Friday night. I might be up to hanging out with some other Lions fans. Message me if you’re going and interested.
Oh man, I want too. I’m waiting on two contracts to come in if one of two makes it then maybe yes.
Some amazing breweries and jazz clubs I would love to revisit.
So, here’s the deal: I have the option to see about two more games this season. Otherwise I’m leaving my wife with an (Italian-as-hell) toddler for an entire day, and when she says things like, “You do what you think is best” I get the funny feeling she doesn’t really mean it.
However, the man-child is a diehard Iggles fan. Even runs a really popular Eagles Discord channel (must be in the blood). If the Lions host the Eagles in the post-season, or the team goes to Philly, I will abso-■■■■■■■-lutely be at that game with him. She knows that’s a basically once-in-a-lifetime thing, and I’ve socked some $$$ away specifically to cover that.
If either Broncos-Lions or Vikings-Lions get flexed to an evening game, I’ll make that happen. Or if we host a first-round game, I’ll do that.
@Air2theThrown, myself and 3 other dogs will be there plenty early. We will be in the Park & Party lot @1000 Gratiot. Stop on over, we will be around the Born Free Motorhome.
Bears are going to be playing with high emotion and determination but will struggle to keep up against one of the premier teams in the league.
Hard to argue with the 31-17 predictions.
