Yep, this works, thanks @QBHATER90. I am busy in SF until tonight and I think @Air2theThrown is underwater as well.

We can do that. Hell, let him host round 1. Green Bay fans are already used to watching him pick everything anyways. :smiling_imp:

I love the honesty of Florio’s comments here. I hope a lot of people in the league think the way he does. Of course, I think a lot of people in the league see the success of Detroit’s emphasis on love for the game and re-commit that same emphasis in their own efforts, but still… you hope for as many teams as possible to miss on their picks because they were not focused on how much football means to the player.

I think on the whole it’s beneficial to construct a roster this way, but as long as a guy is professional that’s good enough for me. Trent Williams comes to mind, clearly in it for the money (I mean he basically sat out a year to get paid), but he’s a pro who shows up and can be counted on. Chris Jones had serious love of the game questions. Lots of guys on Philly’s roster. Some great teams have big-time contributors with love of the game questions, so it can’t be a BAD way to do it.

It’s just not our way. And that’s fine. Clearly it’s working. I just don’t think a guy is doomed if he doesn’t love the game, as long as he can be professional.

Here’s what I bet we hear this weekend.

Lions draft _____, media screams it’s a reach and the guy should have been drafted two rounds later, uninformed Lions fans freak out, and then the people who have been paying attention say…

I’m not calling this a reach, because Brad Holmes has shown us multiple times that we are going to eat our words.
