I have a busy day today before heading towards Ford Field for the game so I’m going to get this started now.
The Lions are hosting the Packers at Ford Field at 8pm tonight.
The NFCN North has an amazing 34-13 record.
11-1 Lions
10-2 Vikes
9-3 Packers
4-8 Bears
The Lions are 3-0 in the division but the Division is 6-6. So almost half of the NFCN’s losses came from within their own division.
The Lions are 7-1 in the conference. Min 5-2, GB 4-3 and CHI is 2-5.
The Lions are on an NFL best 10 game win streak and GB is on a 3 game streak.
The Lions are banged up but they have still been the NFL best team over the last 3 weeks. They’re ranked first in nearly every statistical category over the last 3 weeks.
Turnovers and redzone efficiency are the only two categories that have me concerned.
The Lions have been creating turnovers all year but the last 3 games their turnover margins is even. Meaning they’ve given as many as they’ve gotten.
So I take that as Kirby and Branch are due. It was turnovers that helped the Lions dominate the Packers in the first game.
Many are worried with all the Lions injuries but I still think we have plenty of fire power to win this game. It could be an offensive shootout.
If the Lions defense drops from tops to average due to injuries then this game could be a close one.
The Lions are playing smart football and if they win the turnover battle we should win this matchup.
Can’t wait to see this one live. Ford Field should be loud if the game is close. I’m hoping the Lions get up early and force GB to play catchup all game. That would have ford field rockin.
Lions 27 - Packers 24.
Go Lions!
