OT....Cowboys hire McCarthy....per Glazer

It was Kellen’s first year. The league didn’t know what to prepare for and what his tendencies are. It’ll be interesting to see how he does 2-3 years down the road.

Wait, you must understand. Since we aren’t talking about Stafford, now passing YARDS are like totally important, and what they did against playoff teams no longer matters.

The Cowboys were ranked 8th in Rushing Attempts. Try that with our crew post KeJo injury. We’d have led the league in 3 and outs. Amazing what I’ve been saying all these years about how QB’s can be successful when they have a great rushing attack to lean on. This is the first time Kellen Moore has seen that in the NFL.

It’s nice to share…you’re tripping.

So, if you’re Jerry, you look at your team, you look at Mike, and you see that he went to the playoffs 9 out of 11 years and won a Superbowl, and you look at the 11 years your team just finished.
You survey the other available coaches. Easy choice.
Erin? Pffft. Media/NFL creation/Primadonna.
I will say this, McCarthy, Moore, and Kitna should happen. Dallas could piss us off for the next 20 years! This is about making Kellen Moore, and John Kitna NFL HC’s.

Oh man, this is great. I love it. McCarthy is a turd who did as little with one of the great QB talents as can possibly be done.

He’s walking into a good situation, but I can’t see him being consistently good. We’ll see.

If he keeps Moore and Kitna, and tweaks what they’ve been doing? It could be very good.

Maybe, but he has the rep of a control freak. I’m guessing he’ll want to install “his” offense.

If not, then maybe he’s grown during the year off. I hope that isn’t the case.

Why is McCarthy viewed as wasting Rodgers but Peyton isn’t viewed as wasting Brees?

I think the shitshow during Peyton’s league-sponsored timeout gave him a bunch of credibility.

Your broader point is valid, though.

But, that rep comes from the mouth of Erin Rodgers. Who is the control freak?

They went 7-9 that year.

They went 7-9 3 straight years under Payton from 2014-2016

Jim Caldwell had a better record went to the playoffs more during his 4 years as the Detroit Lions coach than Sean Payton did during that same time as Saints coach.

Whew, hopefully he brings the cowboys right down the shitter.

Atleast he can keep his eyes on both endzones.

This will be interesting. McCarthy wasn’t exactly beloved by Packers fans, especially near the end.

I’m going to keep bumping this until you reply and admit that you were wrong.

You’ll tire of bumping before you get the reply you’re looking for
(Cuz it ain’t never gonna happen)

My initial thought is this is a down grade… but many thought that will BB back when he went from browns to pats.

Time will tell but out the box it looks ugly.

I would getting Moore as an QB coach or assistant… I pray we keep Bevell for a long time and then KM could learn from him…

I never bump questions he/she/whomever doesn’t answer, because it’s all about the flame baiting. Look at the over the top posting style. Nothing rational about it. Totally designed to pick a fight. This person will only pick a fight that they can perpetuate. You ask REAL questions, they either get ignored, or the convo just drops out. Why would you carry on a conversation with someone that is flagrantly not even telling their own truth.

This is by far the best team McCarthy will have the opportunity to coach, depending on how many players they bring back this offseason of course.

I’m persistent. I’m going to bump it every chance I get day and night until it drives him crazy enough to reply with a rational answer.

I already know the answer to this but if he doesn’t reply to the facts I posted that Dallas’s offense was junk against good defenses down the stretch with a reply admitting in any capacity that he was wrong then he will be admitting himself that he was blatantly trolling. I’m sure if he does reply, he’ll offer up some excuse why Dallas’s offense utterly down the stretch or move the goal posts to further the narrative.

Oh and sorry to everybody else for cluttering up the thread but the worst thing about certain posters is when they push an argument that they know is foolish then disappear when somebody clearly proves them wrong refusing to face the music and have a civilized debate like a normal human being.

I’m not arguing with you, just saying why I think the popular perception is the way it is. The Saints went 13-3 the year before he was suspended, went 7-9 while he was suspended, then went 11-5 after he got back.

On top of winning a Super Bowl, I think that cemented him in the “good coach” bucket for many people who aren’t looking at things too closely.

edit to add: I don’t think Peyton is a bad coach, either. I can just see how he could be viewed as overrated.
