With Petzing coming in as our OC, I believe we’ll be making a strong push to sign Hjalte Froholdt, Arizona’s starting Center. Frogoldt is a free agent, it would only make sense to sign him.

was solid for the Cardinals and is a solid overall C… but is very likely a stopgap for atleast a couple years at minimum
Would not be opposed to getting him, but decent amount of Centers on the market to go and get, i think hes an option for sure, but other choices are there that dont require trading picks rn

Hjalte Froholdt will be 30 in 2026. He is a top ten center right now but he was a late bloomer. A solid NFL player in the last year of his deal. Has been very good and has started every game the last three seasons.
His age complicates things for the Cards. Under contract in 2026 but not past that. I could see him as a trade target but what would do the trick? What is the value for a veteran player who is good but not a Hall of Famer?

If we could get Hjalte Froholdt for a 2027 6th rd. pick that would be incredible. And yes, they might do that. Rebuilding teams cannot build around a 30 year old center. They can draft and develop. We are in win now mode.
We can get this guy AND draft a depth center in 2026. That would be excellent.

I suppose if he is believed to be on the chopping block, the Cards might be willing to trade him for a late round pick to at least get something for him instead of getting nothing if they were to cut him.
