Kick returners are having a middle of the pack impact at just under 26 yards per return.
Tom Kennedy was having a great year as our punt returner…13.2 yard average.
What this means is that all things being equal this is where the scales get tipped in close games.

This is a surprise because of his erratic training camp and preseason. Maybe Dave Fipp has it right, just leaving him alone in his process and trust that when the time comes, the Lord will give him wings.
Yes he wasn’t exactly perfect and his kicks just seemed to be going left or right. One of the reasons I made the post because we’re back in the saddle.

In my opinion, Bates’ kicks are even more central than before; he often needed the full width of the court (those two kicks against the Texans<3).
Crazy eyes leads a good unit almost every year. He has been a very good coordinator for us.
I would add that Tay Martin has been a beast on punt and kick coverage. Well worth his roster spot.
For all the TK jokes, he was doing really well. I’d imagine we sign a new punt returner soon. Sucks he got injured.
Well, we missed out on Charlie f**king Jones, he’s averaging 13.5 currently.
