One more starting center option down. Seems to me that 10-13m per is likely the range for Mays.
He’s a better player than Ryan IMO so I think he gets closer to what McGovern got.
This is an awful contract for the Packers (looks like maybe they can get out of it after 1 year?) bc Rhyan was/is not good… He was benched as an OG and was below average as a Center fill in.
You may be right… I had him just under that… There are only like 5 Centers in the entire league making over $10 million per season, looks like maybe there will be double that after this FA cycle

I don’t think this guy was on anyone’s list of coveted. Better to have a competitor off the market rather than the player on the market.
Probably the best year to ever be a FA center. Hearing Linderbaum could be mid 20’s now.
But each FA there is position or two that levels up contract wise. Maybe Center is like LBer last year.

I mentioned him as a potential cheaper option. Guess not.
If so, then I think the likelihood of using Tate at C goes up.

If Tate was moving to center, drafting Vega loane might be tempting. Love his nastiness. And a terrific pass protector to keep Goff clean. Reminds me of the Sewell mentality. That way Mahogs can move to right guard where he played more of in college and I think is his best position

I like that left side though a lot.
I’d still prefer a vet center and not move Tate but if the prices are crazy for a center it’s a tough decision. One thing is for sure the line is going to look very different next year.
