Parsons vs Hutch week one. Who will have the most sacks?

Week one we get to see two of the leagues best pass rushers face off and I’m curious who fans think will have the most sacks?

  • Parsons
  • Hutch

Some things to think about that could factor into your decision.

  1. Hutch is coming off a major leg injury.
  2. Parsons is coming off of a back injury.
  3. Parsons is on a new team and hasn’t had time to learn the playbook. This could mean fewer snaps.
  4. Both players will be motivated to outperform the other.
  5. Parsons just got paid.
  6. Both the packers and Lions OL’s were top 10 last year.
  7. Love is more mobile than Goff.

I expect both players to play and I’m looking forward to the matchup.

Hutch. Will have 4 sacks

Per Adam Schefter

Packers LB Micah Parsons has been dealing with an L4/L5 facet joint sprain in his back and he may take an epidural injection prior to Sunday’s game vs. the Lions if needed to help him play, per sources.

Parsons has been practicing this week and he is trying to play in Sunday’s opener vs. the Lions, though one source said it still is uncertain if he will.

If he’s been practicing then he’s playing.

They just made him the highest paid non qb in the nfl…. Playing him not a full strength in a 17 game season would be pretty dumb IMO. So I hope they do!

But did he really play if he got 0 sacks?

Neither. Dan will always have the most sack.

He’s not hurt.

He took a ton of heat for not practing in DAL while still under contract. Claiming he wasn’t holding out but that he had some back problems. Yet his MRI showed no issues.

Then he gets traded and immediately shows up to practice. The media breaks the news he’s practicing in GB but couldn’t in DAL and he once again takes a ton of heat in the media for it.

A day later this news breaks…. Suddenly it’s a sprain and he’s a game time decision? Even though he practiced all week?

This is agent speak ….. nothing more.

He had the same “back issue” that Jalen Ramsey had with the Jaguars. Once he was traded to the Rams, the situation cleared up quickly.

Yep

Mysterious back pains. That seem to come and go with 40 mil a year.

——- that leaves us with Kenny Clark who’s play declined after he got paid. He’s 29 years old. Parsons is 26 Years old.

So GB got 3 years younger but they now have to pay Parons 40 mil a year and eat two years of dead cap money for Clark.

Clark leaves behind dead hits of……
2025: $18.065M
2026: $17M

So in reality Parsons is costing them nearly 60 mil a year for two of them years…. Yikes!

Or maybe the back pain was caused by having to carry the entire Cowboys team on his back the last few years.

Not to mention the relief of getting Jerry of his back.

That’s enough to make anyone’s back feel better.

Kinda like Anzalone’s hamstring…. Lol this is just too easy fellas.

Parsons is a dick , but when it comes to actual back pain, I’ve been suffering through it since 1989., when it decides to appear it about sends me to the ground, old weightlifting incident with my hig-school coach wrecked my back. Back pain isn’t something to laugh about, but in his case F him.

Hutch is going to be like an animal that has been caged up for over a year and is suddenly freed.

I feel sorry for those poor bastards.

I was reading that particular back sprain isn’t that big of a deal. NFL players usually recover within a week if pain is managed

Facet joint is a nothing burger for NFL players. He will get an epidural steroid injection and be good to go. Down the line, it may cost him some rest, but no reason to do that against us.

I did these shots for about two years and my back felt like a million bucks for about a month before pain slowly creeped back.

They stopped working for me after about two years though because my back got considerably worse.

Well it is what it is. GB has had time and reps and literally prepared their roster to deal with Hutch. Now we have minimal time to prepare for Parsons, he is at home, and will be juiced up with steroids for his first game. I hope that Hutch destroys his production. But Parsons and Garrett feel like their own tier to me today.

Good answer. I don’t agree with the outcome but you definitely put some thought into it.

I don’t think Parsons is in the same tier as a pass rusher, let alone a football player as Garrett.

Myles Garrett and TJ Watt are in a league of their own.

Then you have have the next tier of guys and that’s where Micah is - if you’re solely looking at pass rushing.
