There was almost zero chance they fired Mayo if this wasn’t the case. They had Vrabel locked up. Everything else was performative to make sure the league didn’t get on their case about their hiring rules.

I do think it’s a solid hire. If he gets McDaniels as OC they should have a good run as I doubt Josh ever gets another HC shot.
