I think Vrabel is a good HC and leader of men but not sure if he is the type of guy I want to entrust the future and development of a young QB to. OC appointment will be key.

While maybe neither are anything more than back ups he didn’t show much patience or willingness to develop Mariota or Willis in Tennessee. They pretty much threw in Willis for his debut and expected him to run the normal offence - just setting the kid up to fail.

I did.

But then I found out how often he punted on 4th and short.

And then I looked up “punting” and remembered what it was.

Now I don’t like the hire as much.

I like Ben in a Brady-led Raiders more than Vrabel in a Kraft-led Pats. I don’t bet, but if I were to lay money on who’s reaching the AFC championship first, it’d be Johnson/Brady.

Mayo had coffee with Will Levis.

I think Pete Carroll is re-emerging as the favorite in Las Vegas. Sounds like it to me.

And it makes sense. Damn near lock to get you back to competence and then he retires and the opportunity is much more marketable.

Ultimately I don’t think Tom will be able to convince Ben.

So he won’t be going to OSU next year after Day loses to Michigan again?

I think they had something understood w/ Vrabel before firing Mayo.

That is a positive, yet, UM will do well no matter who the OSU coach is. Moore has been righting the ship staff and talent in place and more support than prior staffs had.
Question is would Freeman leave ND to go back to OSU if they fire Day.

I doubt Freeman would. I can’t remember last time a head coach went to lateral position in college football.

Sure it has happened just can’t remember when.

Nope.

Freeman is ALL ND now.

I tend to agree with you on him all in on ND going forward, so then question shifts. If he continues to win at ND does the NFL come looking?
