Penei QB

Could an image be any more Penei Sewell?

I would have loved to see him throw a TD there.

Lions were marching down the field with ease and they do this dumb play. Enough with the little Mickey Mouse gimmick plays. There is one almost every game that is called at the wrong time that completely kills momentum.

Yeah, that St Brown TD pass to Goff really killed us against the Seahawks. And the Montgomery TD pass against the Titans cost us that game too. And then there was the flea flicker TD to LaPorta …

Its like going for it on 4th down. If you support it when it works, you can’t criticise it when it doesn’t. And putting stuff like that on tape gives defenses lots of headaches.

You have to forgive Iggy. He is the kind of guy that Eeyore would ask to lighten the â– â– â– â–  up.

@BigNatty and I always joke around about Sewell and Fox throwing passes and playing a bunch of different positions… I think Ben Johnson reads the den :joy:

We had so many injuries on the dline in the game, I said to my father put Sewell on the D-line and I wasn’t kidding. The offense barely played in the 2nd half. Sewell was fresh

Running these kinds of plays makes the players have fun. Players that have fun play better and cost less. That’s not to mention the 4d chess of running the trick plays just to get them out there on film.

It’s the first time they’ve ever attempted a trick play. And there’s zero chance that any trick play could ever work.

…having fun.
Sometimes it works. Sometimes it doesn’t.
You’d be singing a different tune if it worked.

They got a first down on the next play.

Sewell wasn’t really sacked on the play as much as he jogged out of bounds with defenders bouncing off him.

My gawd Sewell is athletic. So grateful he’s on our team.

Well if you don’t consider that a momentum killer I don’t know what to tell you.

No offense bud but I trust Ben Johnson over a QB who couldn’t hit 50% completions in college

Most impressive thing about that play to me is that Sewell saw the coverage wasn’t there and tucked the ball

Sewell is better at reading coverage than Ty Detmer!
