The thing is, all those statements could be 100% accurate. We as fans hope that it is not true because he is our QB right now, I have already stated I want him to succeed, for many reasons.
But if I am betting money, I am putting my money on McVay and Stafford. McVay has a track record of making dudes look better than they really are.
Yeah I’m with you. Never understood the Dak hate, it’s out of touch with reality. But man do people hate him. Maybe it’s cause he plays for Phallus? I hate them as much as anyone but I can admit that Prescott is a very, very good player.
What’s so different about Cousins that makes him seem like a different player without McVay? What’s funny is Cousins last year with McVay and first year in Minny have exactly 606 passing attempts. But without McVay Cousins had a higher completion percentage, more TDs and less INTs.
It also may be that in terms of on the field earnings Dak made more money than any athlete in the world in the last twelve months. I find that to be completely insane. And he played 1/4 of the season to do so.
Yeah but that happens all the time. Kirk Cousins has made a shameful amount a money. And remember when the #1 overall pick used to become the highest paid player in the league when he signed a contract. Sam Bradford’s also made a shameful amount of money.
Yes. I have no idea where the disconnect comes from. I’ve seen it like Goff where people say “he’s not really that good, its the surrounding cast and coaching” but I can’t recall many instances where people literally address the man like he’s shitting the bed. Just looking at 2019 and 2020 his numbers are just a tick below Patrick frickin Mahomes.
Agreed. I feel next year he could rank considerably higher, and that our roster could make him appear better than he is. I also feel like he is a damn good NFL starter. I think he ends up around 7-11 in a couple of years. This year, 14 is about right.
He’s right in the area I’d put him right now. At best I would move him up 1 spot…and at worst I would move him down 3 spots. So somewhere between 6 to 10 is where he falls for me in May of 2021.
Right, to me he is in the Murray/Burrow/Wentz neighborhood, right around 20. Putting Fields ahead of him is not credible, when Fields hasn’t played a single snap.
