Also had a couple nice catch and runs. Getting 65 yards from your backup running back is a job well done Reynolds!

Pretty sure itās the wonderful hair they both have distracting you ![]()
No, for sure. Just from a physical standpoint, they look alike and their running styles are similar. But Gibbs is by far the superior player.
Reynolds is averaging 4.3 ypc for the season and had 4.4, yesterday. Thatās a solid NFL RB!
Jefferson is 3.0, in very limited duty. He comes off the bench, cold, and never has a chance to get warmed up.
I canāt wait to see Vaki, either. The guys in front of him arenāt push overs.
Muhammad had a good game. I only saw one, āaw shitā.
If heās the bottom of the list? Weāre in pretty good shape.
He ran through big gaping holes, nothing that was self created, didnāt create anything after contact, didnāt make anyone wiff via COD
I tell you what⦠that defensive holding, while the correct call, isnt called often and man if he just positioned himself a bit better he likely makes the play without getting the flag.
The defense still has some talent but we need our secondary to take the ball away otherwise it will be a very difficult playoffs.
He did allow some of the holes to open which showed good patience etc just lacks the game changing ability of gibbs or the wrecking ball nature of dmo⦠cant expect rb3 to be a top flight answer when you have two top 10 RBs on the roster ahead of him.
I do agree with this observation
Well I still disagree , he is a physical RB , what is he supposed to do when there is a big hole , not run through it wait for guys to close in so he can impress you. ? You take what they give you and make the most of witch is exactly what he does. He is not a make you miss running back that would be Gibbs he runs over you witch he did a great job last night. You donāt think Gibbs and Monty have benefited from them gapping holes also ?
Heās a poor man Jamal Williams (who was overly loved on this board). Doesnāt self create anything on his own. Iāve seen Vaki, he can self create like Gibbs and Monty can (not quite at that level). I look forward to him passing Reynolds and Jefferson on the depth chart
At Oregon State he was an outside zone merchant. But so donāt think his speed will allow for that same success with that in the league.
Thatās the thing your missing, Vaki isnāt taking reps from Reynolds there to different type backs, first he needs to get by Jefferson for that 4th spot , then he is not going to replace Monty or Reynolds there the power guys , if Gibbs got hurt you would see more Vaki then Reynolds.
Yes they are two different types of backs, Vaki has a much better skillset. Once he learns the complication of pass pro, Vaki had very limited reps in college so explains why he hasnāt yet-heāll pass up Reynolds with ease.
One thing, San Francisco exposed us, and we better figure it out, fast.
We suck at āZoneā. They forced us into Zone, and gashed us.
Thatās a problem.
Nothing was āexposedā that wasnt exposed vs the bills. It was more of a LB issue in coverage outside of arnolds lapses which based on the year he had to that point was a bigger issue.
One of if not the best TE in the league gashed our LBs⦠it happens. A rookie wr getting seperation from our rookie cb1 is a bit more concerning but he had been very sticky in coverage. Despite that we won and will be getting our best or second best LB back. Can we see what happens?

Heās been very sticky in āManā. He seems to get lost in Zone.
Here are the PFF team (not player) grades for weeks 1-17. I was surprised at how closely they align with DVOA grades. Pff definately has alot of head-scratchers when it comes to player grades, but these team grades seem to pass the laugh test. (I know some on here think the Ravens are very overrated, but I donāt).
You can also see that our schedule as of late (Buffalo, GreenBay, SF) are some of the best offensive teams, and Minny is going to test us equally.

Frog, thank you for your thoughts. I guess Iām on the opposite end of the spectrum, I have nightmares thinking about Vildor being in Man
