A lot of the Jumbo Run sets were blown up at the edge/back side by Bosa and whoever is on the other side.
Run game misses the hammer sometimes. I would like to see Vaki.
It has to be only a matter of time before he passes up Reynolds & Jefferson. Those guys are just JAGs, but that’s to be expected when you’re talking 3rd-5th string players
I am surprised that Arnold is not on for the worst defenders. I thought he was horribly bad. I can’t say I was shocked that the Lions put Vildor in the game in Arnold’s spot. Arnold did come back later, but he was absolutely lost on the field last night.
Second note, I was not impressed with Graham Glasgow last night. I still saw way to many reach blocks, and saw him spinning around getting no one. I also don’t think it’s a shock that Decker also looked worse last night. I know the Lions will choose to play the vet, but when Mahogany was brought in on jumbo packages, I thought he blocked much better.
How is Decker not on the worst list? He was brutal.
I think it’s a contractual requirement that Brock Wright make every single “worst list” in PFF history ![]()
Reeves-Maybin has a really rough night. Lots of rust to shake off and I’m hoping he’s a lot better next week because they desperately need him to be.
Bosa was giving him problems on passing downs for sure… But Bosa is outstanding and gives everyone problems.
Jack Fox also did not punt once. So Decker had some good play mixed in too. Mostly when Bosa was on the other side though.
Snap counts posted anywhere???
The 2024 draft not producing a lot in their rookie season.
I got heat for saying it last night in the game thread but I’m concerned last year’s draft might be Holmes first big miss all around. As of this point, it looks rough.
The good news is that lots of rookie CBs take more than a year to adjust so hopefully we see improvement next year from the top two.
Here’s a link to pro football reference. Scroll down for the snap counts.
Disagree Reynolds has ran well in his replacement of Monty, the dude made some plays last night. I don’t think Vaki will take snaps from Reynolds. He runs with power and vision.
He doesn’t have the same speed but Reynolds reminds me of a Walmart brand version of the Muscle Hamster. Great Value Brand Muscle Hamster.
The catch and run on the sideline was a big play for us. He’s useful and we trust him.
And Jefferson is very similar to Gibbs. Sometimes I’m surprised if I don’t see him come into the game and I see number 28 instead of number 26 on the jersey. Obviously, Gibbs is next level, but Jefferson isn’t bad coming off the bench either.
Jefferson doesn’t have Gibbs’ juice though.
I think that’s a bit unfair. The 2023 class was elite we know, but we also were still in a spot to make draft picks regular players. The 2024 draft class was more about building depth.
Arnold - I have concerns here, he is generally sticky in coverage but last night he was abysmal. Hard to get caught grabbing guys when they are clear of you by 12 yards.
Rakestraw - Never really got a chance to play, he is most likely done for the year.
Manu - Development tackle to potentially replace Decker. Was never going to play.
Vaki - has been a quality special teamer and showed good potential as a RB. Remember he is learning a new position.
Wingo - Was a solid contributor on the defensive line until he got hurt.
Mahogany - Missed half the year, and still has stolen a gameday spot. Played excellent in his first NFL start. Sad but true, I think our best offensive line is with Mahogany at LG rather than Glasgow. I would not be shocked to see Mahogany starting a playoff game this year.
Thank you.
Wanted to see if we truly rested anybody
How the hell is Skipper on the bottom as the 6th O-linemen? Every time he came into the game we had a decent run.
