Well the kid is only 18, which in my old man knowledge of bball vs new age bball, makes me think his skillset is not defined at this point in his basketball life he can definitely improve.
See if the supposed elite shot teacher they hired is any good.
However, I wouldn’t bet money on it either, mainly as I’m not a gambler to begin with. Would @Jman is the real question.
Williams or Salun or Buzellus IF they thought they could get his 3 pt shot back to the 43% he shot in HS.
Holland could be great if he learns to shoot. Im not convinced thats easy to change.
Regarding Holland, some writers have made the point that all of the TOP 10 rated players (excluding 23 year old Knecht, who went 17th to the Lakers), can’t shoot.
Luckily, Trajan hired a Shot Doctor, who has “Fixed” a number of NBA players to be at least, approaching average. Problem is the Pistons have 4 Starters, who can’t shoot. If the Shot Doctor can “Fix” 2 out of 4 Piston starters, the Pistons will be a much different, more winning team., was the forecast. Also, don’t expect big improvements in “Shot %” in 2024, more likely 25-26 said the writer.
If there is any way to nab Darius Garland out of Cleveland, do it.
Ausar/Holland at the 3 and Cade/Holland at the 2 with Tyus Jones /Cade at the 1, with Ingram and Duren is the start of a solid base. Need another shooter.
