Stick a fork in us. We need a miracle of a miracle. We need the bears/9ers/cowboys to go on serious losing streaks. I strongly doubt that happens.
After we lose to dallas next week they’ll jump us in the outside looking in list. After we lose to the rams its all about draft position. We havent beat a good team this year. If a miracle does happen, we’re setup as a classic one and done team.
Somehow we’ve made this season even more disappointing than last season. I guess MCDC was right after the San Fran loss. Maybe that was our shot and we wont get another.
I agree we’re behind the 8 ball from here on in. But I think we’re still built to be competitive indefinitely. Need to add some pieces this offseason on both lines. But we’re still loaded at the skills positions. Overall, I don’t think it’s our last kick at the SB can.
Bears are about to take sole possession of 2nd place, after losing to the eagles. I think the Packers beat them twice. 2 playoff teams from NFCN will be GB (likely division winner), and Detroit (wildcard on the road). I hate it, but it’s what it’s looking like, right now.
Ragz is gonna help a ton. Winning in LA is what our season hinges on, now.
Well that didn’t age well, you have been underestimating Ben Johnson and overestimating Dan Campbell sense Ben left. Ben is a Elite play caller . He sets teams up the dude is so far advanced in that area. He was special and a big part of our success.
Dan is still a good coach, and we may rebound but Dan and Holmes will have to change there approach some if they want to get back to were we were. But Dan Campbell is not the one man show a lot have made him out to be.
I’m still all in for these final 5 games. Gonna be a wild ride to finish the season but there is still a chance.
Need to go 4-1 to (almost) guarantee a Wild Card Playoff spot.
We get Dallas at home. It’s better than playing them on the road. Gonna be a offensive shootout, Kelvin Sheppard needs to figure out how to slow down that Cowboy offense. We can win this ball game and I believe Dan will have our guys fired up ready to play next Thursday.
10 day break gives us a mini bye week to heal up before a trip out West to L.A. This is our one loss. Rams put a whooping on us…..
Back to Detroit for a match up vs a tough Tomlin lead Steelers. I assume Rodgers will be back…just in time for a reunion with his father Kerby. It’s a tough win, but it’s at home, in a dome, and I like our chances. Two games left…need to win out
4 day break for a Christmas match up in Minnesota. This could be the season killer before we face Chicago the following week. This will be another ‘must win’ game vs a mediocre Vikings team (who has already beat us earlier in the season). Dan and the players will know the importance of this game and will treat it like a Playoff game. I’m taking Goff over McCarthy…they’re not sweeping us this year.
All the marbles - Lions win and they’re in - Bears lose and Green Bay wins NFCN - we play spoiler and get a ticket to the dance. Give me -20 degrees, give me snow and wind. Ice Bowl as our season finale! Lions get a 9-10 day window leading to this final match up vs Chicago, we should be prepared and rested.
4-1 with a loss to Stafford and the Rams. Dallas is the first ‘must win’ game and basically our Playoffs start next Thursday. Gonna be a wild December! Hang in there boys and girls!!
Looks like they could have 10 wins… and only 4 losses…
with Colts, Bears, and Seachicks left.
The Bears have 4 tough games… but also have the Browns in 2 weeks at home. Looks like they are likely to have at least 10 wins be the time they play the 49ers.
Since Bears and 49ers play each other… quite possibly with eaxh of them having a minimum of 10 wins… it appears that one of them will be a lock for 11 wins.
.
Also…..
Lions have 4 conference losses already.
If they lose to the Cowboys or Rams… they will will have 5 conference losses.
The 49ers are 8-2 in the conference… and only have 2 more conference games left…. so they would be guaranteed to have a better conference record than the Lions… and thus… a likely tie breaker if both teams have 11 wins.
It’s always surprising to me when folks predict that extended breaks between games is an advantage for the Lions. My memory seems to think that the Lions always seem to come back from these extended breaks sluggish and out of sync.
