Playoffs?

Fair enough. My response was more so a general one to where the thread had been going.

Don’t look now!!!

Ben Johnson and Matthew Stafford are stop the NFC… Get guys back on the OL and DBs, and unleash Teslaa! Win out! Or figure out a coordinator situation in the remaining games.

We aren’t winning the Super Bowl with this year’s team.

Well if that’s your attitude then you’re not invited on my Victory parade float.

100% agree. As much as I’d like more beans I think this important. I also think momentum can carry over.

We had that run in 2022 I think and came out and continued in 2023.

Just win and we are ok. If it doesn’t pan out, it doesn’t pan out and we finish strong and regroup for next year with a pretty good football team already before the offseason.

We keep playing the way we have and I can assure you a lot more of us will be behind the 8 ball as well by seasons end.

If we beat the cowboys (which obviously I’m assuming we do), I would bet the cowboys don’t run the table the rest of the way. Sure their schedule is easy, but the cowboys aren’t anything special. They are hot, but do they stay hot? Maybe, maybe not. It probably does take 11 wins to get in. But this NFL is pretty damn unpredictable…I’m pretty much counting all 3 nfc west teams as in. My money would be on Dallas not closing the season 4-0. So if the bears do in fact go 1-3 (definitely possible), beating the Bears week 18 gets us in at 10-7.

Now sure you can say that’s a lot of what ifs. But what’s more likely? The cowboys run the table finishing the year 4-0 + bears going 2-2 (Cleveland is no free win. And I still think Chicago is a pretender) or the cowboys finish 3-1 and Chicago 1-3? I say scenario 2 is more likely…

But even if not 11 wins and we are in. And if you like the Cowboys to win all 4 games aside from us…then you should like us beating everyone aside from LA. Which isn’t a guaranteed loss either :man_shrugging:t2:

Yea…no…the Bears beat the Eagles in Philly
We lost to the Eagles in Philly.
Cowboys beat the Chiefs
We lost to the Chiefs

People need to start admiting that the Bears are good and we are in danger of not making the playoffs
We have a 4% chance of winning the NFCN
32% chance of making the playoffs as a Wildcard after losing to GB and the Bears beating Philly

If we lose to Dallas, you can put a fork in us

I agree with your point(s), but we lost to the Eagles in Philly, not at home.

At this point it’s more “When” than “If”. We are extremely inconsistent in all 3 phases of the game right now. Which is actually quite impressive if you think about it.

Chicago is better than I thought they were… I’ve said this elsewhere, and I do not like it

Vegas is doing us a solid. Somehow we’re favored vs Dallas. Time to setup an insurance plan. Bet big on dallas to win. If we win , if we lose :money_mouth_face:

Well the good news is we won’t be losing our coordinators this year.

But the Bad news is we will still have our coordinators.

Maybe they’ll pull a hamstring in the off-season and be forced to re-retire.

Salt to the wound for everyone

With the Thr 49rs winning, we can win out and still miss…. We need other teams to strategize their wins and losses for us now

Thanks

Time for Holmes and Campbell to be practical. Chasing playoff spot to be one and done is bad long term strategy. If Ratledge is future Center, play him there for the training and experience. Get Frazier in there as soon as possible, we need to see if he is it.Time to regroup and figure out draft needs along the Oline. personally I would take best tackle in round one of draft. If Ratledge is not it at Center, the Oregon Center should be available at pick 101(comp for losing coordinator). The edge position is deep with no generational guys, so we can get young talent in later rounds. We need functional, not elite opposite Hutch. If we take edge second pick, I am grabbing TE Delp at around pick 117. Of course BH will pick his board, so my wish list is irrelevant. I don’t buy into this we need CB, we got lots, just need to stay healthy. Same at safety, but depth here wouldn’t hurt.

Updated playoff seeding odds via playoff status

3% chance to win the division
25% just to make the playoffs

According to their simulations
1 - LAR
7 GBP @ 2 CHI
6 SEA @ 3 PHI
5 SFF @ 4 TBB

8 CAR
9 DET
10 DAL

If thats the case at least the Lions will have a top 14 draft pick

Umm I think we already used this pick in a package to move up and select a WR in last years draft.
