Jamo is more a faster Emmanuel Sanders than he is a Demaryius Thomas.
I hope it’s not 10-12 Gibby run calls between the tackles for 31 total yds, 5 -7 2 yd hitch passes for minimal gains, a Goff overthrown wheel route, and a slant for a potential that he drops.
I was yellin at my tv for some screen passes last Sunday…that shit was there, but for some reason, the play calling was a bit smooth brained at times.
Agreed, even when DET opened some holes, Wagner and those corners played the run very well. You can’t put this all on a rook’s back.
Believe in The Skillet but the OL & TEs need to bring the heat to get the cooking done.
Sure would be a nice time for Cabinda to show up,too, no ?
We barely use a FB it seems, not sure exactly why we keep him on the active roster. Gotta be for special teams
Possibly the least useful multiple tool I’ve ever seen. Couldn’t even get a visa for Switzerland, never mind citizenship.
My initial thought before even opening the thread was a screen pass. Especially against this Atlanta front. A screen pass is a great way to get Gibbs in space where his speed is an advantage.
To be honest I’m underwhelmed by our attempts to get him in space. His speed on the sweep is notable and that’s where most of his success has been.
Between the tackles he’s been a disappointment so I’d like to see us get him more involved in the passing game. So for me that means screens, flat routes and hitch routes. Just get the guy in space and let him do his thing.
I must admit that Ben Johnson’s play calling this year is surprisingly less inventive and more simplistic than last year and I have to wonder why?
This is good. This is how nicknames should happen. I vote for Gibbs to be known as “the skillet” from here out
His tagline could be “kill it and grill it.”
I thought the perimeter blocking was better in the KC game. LaPorta was much better and we had both Decker and Penei playing. Vaitai was also a war daddy in game 1. KC has a ton of speed at LBer which probably kept the YPC in check.
Just so long as he isn’t all sizzle and no steak
If they’re going to maximize his skillet, I hope when he busts off a big play Dan Miller says breakfast is served all day.
I thought about correcting this typo, but these are all way too good
