I have full confidence in HSV!! I wish I could have selected two. I think he’s born for this moment and him/his buddies will have a great time PRACTICING getting dorm girls pregnant. :slight_smile: He’s too smart to mess up that badly with his goal of med school on the horizon. Go get em HSV!! Have a great time and enjoy.

If he’s getting a 2 for 1 special with his football teams, maybe the same can be true for his dorm girls as well. Just sayin’.

If you were me, would you try to go to the Cotton Bowl or the National Championship

A few things to consider:

  • The Cotton Bowl is guaranteed, the natty isn’t
  • The Cotton Bowl is a LOT cheaper
  • The Cotton Bowl is a lot more convenient when considering my school schedule
  • The natty is in Atlanta, so we can just drive from Huntsville really quick instead of having to fly to Dallas
  • I’m 0-2 as a Buckeyes/Lions fan in Mercedes-Benz Stadium and 7-0 everywhere else
  • I also missed the first HOUR of an Elton John concert in Mercedes-Benz because of the ■■■■■■■ traffic, so I’m really cursed in that stadium
  • Many of my friends went to the Alabama-Georgia natty in that same building when 2nd and 26 happened
  • My dad and I have also been to AT&T Stadium before for a Buckeyes game and won

@HSVLion - National Championship.

The risk vs. reward is better. If you go to the Cotton Bowl and OSU wins, great time! But, it’s not the NATTY. If you go to the Cotton Bowl and OSU loses, sad. No national championship. Good upside, bad downside possible.

If you go to the National Championship and OSU wins, great time! And it was the biggest one! Huge relief, big party, woo! If OSU loses, sad. But, the atmosphere is great, and it is truly the end of the season. No hanging questions afterward (other than possible ‘what-ifs’). To me, that is a GREAT upside, medium downside possible.

So, greater upside potential with the national championship, and equal (or slightly superior) downside. Therefore, national championship wins. If the money works, of course!

Just my two cents. Probably not even worth a penny though… :smile:

Wouldn’t the downside be worse?

I’d witness another epic loss in the same building that I watched us choke against Georgia in, and we’d sit for another two hours in the same shitty Atlanta traffic dreading why we spent so much money.

Plus, it could be against Penn State, which would be complete hell. My roommate is a Penn State fan.

But you are right that the upside is much, much higher.

I definitely thought about you after Michigan beat Bama. Both of your teams were beat by the backups to the 2023 U of M team. I like ya kid. But i don’t feel bad for ya. Maize and Blue flows through my veins. Go Blue!

National Championship. If somehow the Buckeyes don’t make it(highly unlikely) you can put that money towards the SB

That’s why I voted Cotton Bowl.
They miss the Natty and the moment is gone forever. He will be out of school and out in the corporate jungle, climbing the ladder, to busy to go for the next 30-40 years.
Going at 55+ is not the same as going in your 20’s.
Take the sure thing and enjoy your youth.
