Poll: Should we rest players for Week 18?

Play them, beats the Vikes and put pressure on Eagles and Cowboys to win their 4:25pm starts

Dan has said they will play. We will see exactly what that means on Sunday

This is an eternal debate
Pluses and minuses to both arguments
Campbell as coach, should know what’s best for his players and team
I’ll leave it at that

Hopefully they get a quick 21-0 lead and can play the backups for 3/4 of the game

I’d like to see them play everyone in the first half, then maybe start replacing certain guys in the 2nd half.

Select players, yes.

Jack Fox, yes. Let’s not have any punts; only kickoff after kickoff after kickoff.

Goff, ARSB, LaPorta, D-Mont, and Gibbs probably should play no more than a half.

Bridgewater, DPJ/Green, Wright/Mitchell, Netflix/Other RB should see significant time.

Here’s the issue. If Goff is playing. You better have the starting o line out there so that means no resting Decker or Ragnow who have both been banged up all season. The Vikes blitz a ton. I think the most in the nfl. No way you put Goff out there without his starting 5 up front.

I’m a tweener. I voted to rest them but honestly I want a quarter or two then start rotating people out. especially the ones coming off injury.

Definitely agree with you.

Another issue is the 46 man gameday roster.

In the preseason you can play the starters a few series… then the backups…and then the 3rd stringers because you have 70 to 80 guys available to play.

We will be very limited by the 46 man active roster. It’s a numbers game. This would be the ideal game to have the entire 16 man practice active. But that’s not possible due to nfl rules

Rest: Goff, ARSB, Laporta, Gibbs, Sutton (I know he kinda sucks but what’s left behind him is vomit inducing), Ragnow, Sewell, Decker, Hutchinson, Alim (maybe give him a series or two), Anzalone, Iffy (!), honestly CJGJ too.

You are not improving if you are resting. People only see the risk of injury but don’t see the risk of not getting better.

Perfect!

How can we shoot ourselves in the foot like we did Saturday night and not be eager to see consistency developed over continued reps? Get 'em on the field and get 'em playing together for 60 minutes.
