I am in a $20 league for fun and I am toying with have an almost all Lions roster.
I think I can realistically have the following roster based on multiple drafts:
1st - St. Brown
2nd - Gibbs
3rd - LaPorta (risky but possible)
4th - Monte
5th - Jamo (super early but hey I am here now)
6th - Goff (yes even in FFL he gets no respect)
7th - Probably can chill on Lions and wait a few rounds to get Lions D and Bates
The 2 that I am gonna to struggle to get both are LaPorta and Gibbs. This is assuming I draft mid 1st to get ARSB. Again I feel this has possibilities to happen but I need it to fall just right.
That would literally make my Lions games so enjoyable.
I have done similar things in the past and really enjoyed it. It did make watching the Lions even more fun. As long as it isn’t one of those super competitive leagues, I would say go for it.
Although, if the Lions offense does what we all think it will, then that might be a very competitive team too.
From yahoo on one of my leagues: having 3 players from the same team might either be a stroke of genius or a recipe for disaster, depending on how well that team performs. It seems like Irish Hillbilly might need a fairy godmother to turn this draft around.
Different league: What truly sets Hillbilly Irishman apart is their bold move of drafting a whopping six players from the same team. This risky strategy involving Amon-Ra St. Brown, Jared Goff, Alex Anzalone, Aidan Hutchinson, Brian Branch, and Detroit could either lead to a championship or a spectacular disaster.
More: The fantasy hopes of Hillbilly Irishman might rest heavily on the fortunes of the Lions, as they have five of them on their roster. Proj Record 2-13
And finally: The fantasy hopes of Drogon might rest heavily on the fortunes of the Lions, as they have four of them on their roster. Proj Record 12-2
It has been my long standing belief that you stay the course with players. Trying to “time the market” so to speak in FFL tends to end in pain.
I tend to start my main dudes every week they are healthy. Don’t over think it I say.
Lamar will get 1 running TD and 2 passing…that is 14 right there plus escalators. Goff goes for 4 TDs…you are going to break even. Now I doubt Goff goes for 4 TD passes so you picked Lamar early for a reason.
