Post-Draft Depth Chart/Needs:

Just 2 or 3 Major Needs left — that could be very easily addressed, if we choose to.

#1: is of course DE opposite Hutch. Zadarius is by far the best option, and makes all the sense in the world.

#2: is #3 safety. We haven’t done anything to replace Iffy. If Kerby or Branch get hurt (or suspended), we’re completely screwed… and we don’t have any picks left to trade at the deadline. Julian Blackmon would be a very nice signing.

#3: is backup outside corner. If Reed or Arnold goes down, Amik can go outside, and Maddox seems solid inside. Rakestraw you hope is good yr 2. But we’ve just had such bad luck w CB injuries in the post-season. I’d be very happy if they signed another solid vet like Kendall Fuller.

James Stewart for ever? Rear Window Jimmy Stewart or tackled by the rear window defender Jimmy Stewart?

In all seriousness a couple observations:

1:) hot damn we have a lot of good players

2:) our DL is deep. Aiden returning to form is crucial. We’ve seemingly priorities mitigating Alim which is smart bc year 2 is where the post ACL production pop most often occurs

3:) DT is absolutely loaded when we’re healthy. Early downs we have four war daddies when fully healthy and when fully healthy we have three and potentially four (5?) interior upfield terrors on obvious passing downs (Alim, Mingo, Hassanien and maybe Paschal and or Tyliek).

4:). Meeks needs to be somewhere on your list. They didn’t give him that bag for no reason and that kid can play and he’s differentiated. He’s a bit of development from being amongst our best red zone weapons. The hands and catch radius are that good.

5:). I think there is a fairly decent chance that Maddox becomes a hybrid in which he’s actually safety 3 if an injury happens to Branch or Kerby. I think he’s a big part of the contingency plans and for good reason. He can play when healthy.

Nice post! Welcome to the board.
Muhammad won’t be on the practice squad. He worked very well with Z on the other end, last season. He’ll be even better with Hutch, Reader, Levi/Williams.

Meeks getting a bag means nothing other than a good agent.

Kingsley and Isaiah Williams both got a bag last year.
Kingsley cut at cut down day, brought back on PS.

I williams only on the roster because of injuries was cut after week 2.

AND! Even with that guaranteed money, if they sit on the PS all season. Thats the money. So its just up front vs through out the season.

It really means nothing other than a good agent

Have you seen him play? Have you observed our deference to UGA practices and making it through that program for three years?

Kinglsley is still in our plans and Williams was poached. This doesn’t mean what you think it means.

NOPE. It means they have leverage. That darn Invisible
Hand!

Has Maddox played deep safety before? I hadn’t read that.

I don’t know that they’ll carry 6 DE’s on the 53.

It’s a talented roster. But vulnerable in some areas. And we’re not gonna have the draft capital to make deadline trades.

Critical they sign Zadarius ASAP.

Very important they sign a #3 safety.

And a good idea to sign another CB as well.

Nice work, man!

Love our roster. I think Lopez will be a really nice piece too (that’s what she said). He’s gonna be an unsung hero-type that will help us win and come up with some key plays in moments.

Glasgow’s decline is real and unlikely to be reversed at this point. Though I suppose a bounce back is possible.

But one of the young guards, maybe Frazier(?) will likely get a lot of practice reps at C with an eye at providing a longer term backup plan for Rags, who will get a lot of days off and need a steady fill-in all year.

Maybe Glasgow just focuses on that one job, that could make sense too. Just requires Ratledge to step up and take the starting RG spot.

Not sure. Brad said that he’s got a little bit of safety to him when they signed him though.

I think we need to sign a weakside backer to back up AA. maybe they like who they have, but Rodrigo is coming off ACL

Stuard?

I’m almost giddy about our guard situation.
Guard doesn’t look like its going to be a worry for quite some time.
Now, Sorsdal, Mahogany, and Skipper can focus strictly on Tackle, and we have a backup C/G.
I don’t remember our Lions ever having this kind of Oline depth?

I think long-term, if Ratledge and Frazier both pan out, Mahogany will move to center. If they cut Glasgow, he’ll probably rep 2nd team there in camp.

Hes only 6’2” and change, and repped at center in the senior bowl. Hes a great, great guard IMO. But I think he could make that transition too

I was hoping they were going to draft a coverage Will yesterday. It’s a genuine need.
