So here’s what happened: I always go Bryce if he falls. I think he’s one of the runaway top 3 prospects in this draft and I’m not passing on that. But what happened after was interesting. All of Gonzalez, Witherspoon, Porter, Wilson, Murphy, Van Ness, Bijan, Skoronski, Bresee, Branch and Torrence went. I’ve never seen it come off just exactly like that, so after a minute of agonizing (and because I wasn’t taking any trades), I went with the speed demon. At the very least he’ll make our offense impossible to stop.
I really like this first round. that run on guards at the top of the second sucks. In that case I’d take Darnell Washington and jahmyr Gibbs over mazi and Tillman.
Mazi is not my first choice that’s for sure. But if we don’t resign Chark or his replacement then a guy like Tillman could be nice fit. Gonzalez and Branch is a nice combo. Draft experts like Mazi more then I do so maybe I’m missing something because he is a 2nd Rd pick on most every board I see.
Then why is he dropping so much said in October that he looked stiff and lumbering in his movements. I’m waiting for the combine I don’t think he will test as well as some think. If you watch his tape you will see he is not smooth at all doesn’t seem very explosive, plays high and stilff like a lumber jack.
Actually would like to see Breese make it the kid has been through a lot and is deserving. Maybe it’s the Knee still bothering him. Hated him at 6 , but if he drops to the 2nd or even 18 and Holmes thinks he is the guy I’ll back him 100%. Combine should be big for him if he test well.
