Another big advantage we need to press is that the rams special teams are horrendous. They lost to the Eagles after getting 2 field goals blocked.. they’ve let up a lot of returns, etc. They are also a bit conservative when it comes to going for it on 4th.. so if we can make them kick some, it will be a huge advantage for us.
I don’t have a score for you, but I feel like this game is going to come down to whether we get good Kelvin Sheppard or bad Kelvin Sheppard. He has had 10 days to figure out how to slow down the Rams.
Time isnt on our side sometimes with game planning for whatever reason
Which one?
He definitely knows Stafford, practiced against him for a year. Hopefully he comes up with a plan to limit him.
Rams offense success rate is dangerously good.
57% rushing 55% passing
Vs Lions
47% rushing 50% passing
I am worried
42-30 Lions win
To me this game hinges on pressure on Stafford.
The Lions have faced the elite D of the Packers twice now and the pressure of the Eagles D. I think the O will score 27 points. We will move the ball overall.
Can the D slow them down? We got to Dak in Detroit. Can we pressure Matt in LA? The Lions D held the ‘Boys to 9 points in the first half last game. I feel like we can do that again.
Lions 27 Rams 24.
This is where I am at.
But the game of football is funny.
What is crazy is the Rams and Chicago games seem to be with 1.5 games each for the Lions as far as playoffs. So I am hoping for a win this weekend. And if the Lions have to lose 1 more it must be against the Steelers. With wins over Minny and Chicago to make the playoffs.
This has been a tough season and they need to find that extra gear to make the playoffs.
The Oline has to get fixed/improved in the off season. That has to be job 1.
Rams 38
Lions 28
what vegas is saying.
~75% of the money and bets are on LAR to win. However. What’s strange.
75% of the bets and 60% of the money are on the Lions to Cover. HOWEVER the line went from 5.5 to 6! Why? Vegas is BEGGING you to take the Lions to cover. I dont like that at all.
38-31 Rams
This is the week where the Lions come alive, or it won’t happen at all
Well the Rams have been running a ton of 13 Personnel which is a shocker with how much talent they have a at WR.
13 personnel fits Stafford’s play style. They get max protection for him making it hard to get a good pass rush and Stafford loves to force feed a single WR regardless if he’s doubled.
McClendon has allowed the lowest pressure rate (1.9%) among tackles and has given up zero sacks all year, performing like one of the best players at his position. But he’s facing Hutch who is hard for any tackle to handle.
The Rams run game will be crucial to stop. They have been a handful since the Rams went to 13 personnel.
With Stafford likely having plenty of time to throw and the Lions secondary banged up…. Stafford and Puka should have a big game.
I don’t think we win this one. We stack up poorly to the Rams. I’d be happy if they made it competitive win or lose.
Alright, so everybody and their dog are calling for a shootout, and very often the opposite to what the herd is thinking is what actually goes down.
So I’m gonna predict:
Lions 23
Rams 17
Lions vs. Rams bold prediction: Detroit pulls off the upset
Why Lions have no chance to slow down Matthew Stafford, Rams offense in Week 15
Send a memo to Dan not to count on a last minute drive down by 7.
Stafford averaged 2.61s
I will be SHOCKED if the lions get under that average. If he does its because hes gashing them
This game is going to be tough, really tough. I think we see a shootout.
38-35 Lions. Tom Fricken Kennedy gets another game ball!
I really like this score. Lions offense has to lead the way in this one and they are more than capable. This us the last regular season game where the pressure on the lions is a bit less as they are expected to lose. Just like Atlanta was against Tampa.
