I think GM comes sometime this weekend and HC gets announced next week

I think it’ll be George Paton, as much as I’d rather have someone else (although I don’t really know the guy), and Saleh

I’d pick Rick Smith and Saleh.

Last time, I wanted Wisenhunt…but only because you guys told me to want him. LOL.

I’m not getting Bill Cowher, so I’ll just roll with it and hope for the best.

I’ll go with the Saleh - be nice to see a bald dude in here, for a change.

Next Wednesday I think it will be Paton as GM and Marvin Lewis as HC

I believe a GM will be named either Sunday night or Monday some time. Think they will name the GM first and then allow him some input in their finalist for HC. I could see the lions go Paton/Bienamy/Bevel for OC.

I would like Paton/Marvin Lewis.

Oof, I just saw the article. Uhh…ok. I wonder what he could have possibly said to turn off the Lions brass. He seems like the kind of guy that would do well in an interview. Well, plot twist I suppose.

Now? I guess believe a quarter of what you read, none of what you hear, and beyond less of what is reported on social media!

Paton is the front runner for the Broncos job, and turned down a request from the Carolina Panthers.

Paton seems to draw a lot of accolades and has been very picky about his interviews.

Ultimately, I think it’ll be Paton and Lewis, and it happens Monday for Paton and Wednesday for Lewis.

I like the fact that we have appeared to have made runs at the likes of Colbert and Schneider for the GM gig and Pat Fitzgerald for the HC gig.

I’d love Fitzgerald as HC but doubt he will leave college coaching.

I would rather an experienced head coach and inexperienced GM than the other way around so I would be ok with Paton and Lewis and I think they will lead us back to respectability at the very least.

I’ve really got no clue as to timing, but it seems like sooner rather than later. They’ve really got no one left to interview.

Just based on feel, it seems like Saleh is going to be the HC. GM feels like Paton, but that might just be because he was the last guy interviewed.

As conductor and head of ticket sales for the Marvin Lewis train, I think most people know he’s my choice for HC. I’m frankly pretty agnostic on GM, though Smith and Dimitroff have their appeal to me as experienced guys. If we go with Marv, I’d be far more open to a freshman GM.

Prediction is Lewis/Paton.
My preference was Eberflus/Dodds, but neither were interviewed.
My next preference was Saleh/Dodds, but again, no Dodds interview.
Next was Lewis and whomever.

If, IF, it is accurate that it was a Texans reporter who leaked the negative Selah interview report remember Texans are only team who didn’t ask to interview Selah iirc.

Well the hum drum hire would be Lewis, he’s conservative to a fault and his coaching style will fail postseason. And the best you could hope for is Caldwells 9-7 isn’t good enough. This hire just screams uncle. He’s not a andy reed like many are hoping ( more coping). Talk about not being able to win meaningful games. His conservative coaching will be dominated by the high powered teams like KC. I think the game has passed lewis by with his conservative style.

As far as gm goes idk , I want someone on the same page as the coach a pair that clicks. Not one with one vision and the coach another. It’s seems like the Lions have no idea what they want and is waiting for someone to tell them.
