Prepping for the Season - Living Out of Market

Is this the best way? NFL+ 1-Year Subscription $50 or NFL+ Premium for $100?

I’m in AZ so only a handful of non-national games can be expected this season. How do I watch the rest live and inexpensively?

Is a VPN set on Detroit a better way? The free streaming sites from rando links have failed me too many times and following the game play-by-play on NFL.com or Yahoo Sports is not ideal.

Same problem! I have addressed so far with just going to the bar to watch everything.

This is what I would do. Wait until Sept. 7. Then join, I’m sure they offer a free trial. See the differences and go from there. I used to subscribe to NFL+, but couldn’t use it unless it was phone or laptop etc.

A lot may have changed since then. I don’t know. I can only offer that perspective.

I ended up signing up for Sunday Ticket but before that doing UZZU.tv was a game changer. I highly recommend it. Get all the sports for a fraction of the cost. now has an app too.

wifi… android box… iptv

How the video quality? I’ve been using the pirate life to stream Lions games and the video quality is not great.

It was great for me. You can cancel anytime too. Might go back to it next year as NFL Sunday Ticket is expensive.

I am lucky enough to get the Lions games on an antenna, LOL.
I have internet but its shitty satellite internet.
Not paying for Dish. I already pay for every possible streaming app.(my wife needs all of them I guess) Literally have Amazon+ with added Paramount plus, Starz Plus and Discovery plus, Hulu, Disney+, Netflix and Peacock TV. Literally costs more than getting satellite TV. But the boss said we “don’t need satellite”

Happy wife happy life amirite.

Does NFL+ show “live” out of market games? The way it’s described when I research it is that during the preseason you can watch “live” out of market games, but once the regular season starts you can only watch the games that are local to your market “live”. I believe you can watch the out of market games “after” the game is over, but not “live”.

I’m not 100% sure on any of this as Ive never used NFL+.

For free. All kinds of free streaming sites. I watch off my laptop which is HDMI plugged into my big screen. I can’t believe folks ask the same questions every year about this. And the free streaming becomes more stable every year as well. It’s not bullet proof, but for free, there are a few that work really well.

I’ve used a number of them over the years and free is a “you get what you pay for” proposition. If you have found a golden goose of sorts, do share. A YT or Reddit link that says what you can’t here.

Best stable service I found on YT research was paying for a VPN, linking it to Germany, and paying for Dazn + Game Pass. No blackouts but is about $50/mo (for the 4 mo season only). Free is better, but with compromises that come at a “cost” nonetheless.

This season will be very different than any other as an out of market fan.
From 506sports, maybe 7 or 8 games I’ll need to find a way to watch live:
1- SNF: LAR @ DET - National
2- FOX: TB @ DET early
3- FOX: DET @ AZ late - In market for me
4- MNF: SEA @ DET - National
6- FOX: DET @ DAL late - National
7- FOX: DET @ MIN early (picked as early doubleheader?)
8- FOX: TN @ DET early
9- FOX: DET @ GB late - National
10- SNF: DET @ HOU - National
11- CBS: JAX @ DET early (picked as early doubleheader?)
12- FOX: DET @ IND early (picked as early doubleheader?)
13- Tks: CHI @ DET (CBS) - what does Tks mean?
14- TNF: GB @ DET - National
15- CBS: BUF @ DET late - National
16- FOX: DET @ CHI early
17- MNF: DET @ SF - National
18- MIN @ DET - TBD SNF or Saturday possible

the thing I don’t do and would never advise is type “nfl streams reddit” into google search and then click through all the crap.

THe most reliable one I had used years prior was shut down in the last month by feds. I had a thread on it somewhere here.

The list is updated for every game. The most stable by far is Stream East.
It will stick sometimes but then almost always self-corrects.

If it doesn’t work well I just go through the list till I find something solid.

Gotta pick the right ones for sure. See the list I provided.

You can watch the full telecast of games after they are complete. Shortly after that they have a condensed version which shows all the plays. After a day or so, you get all-22 game film.
