Came across this interesting chart. You’ll have to ignore the color scheme that doesn’t seem to make any sense
That is totally what I remember Anthony Richardson being. Can you fix the bunnies. Dude hits the layups at a league average percentage and we’re cooking. Can it be done?
I think I figured out what the color code is doing. It has to be read on the horizontal axis and the color kind of follows the rainbow scheme.
And for some reason now I’m craving a Bud Light
Draft Will Levis and only run routes from 21-30 yards, but not 31 yards and not 19 yards. Hall of famer for sure.
Will Levis’ chart is bizarre
It makes no sense.
How can this be correct if Richardson only completed 53% of his passes?
It’s not a completion percentage chart it’s an on-target throw chart. There’s certainly a fair amount of subjective interpretation. Ostensibly it encompasses well placed throws that weren’t caught for some reason or another
Right. So Richardson’s is like oof tighten that short stuff up but at least it makes rational sense in a big armed wild stallion sort of way. Staff was that way. It’s not unusual for freakishly big armed young QBs to take a while to harness it. Many never do as well. Such is the peril of the draft.
Every once in awhile he gets all upset cuz his family was names him after somebody’s pants
Why didn’t Levis go pro last year? That seems like a bad decision.
If I had to guess without looking at the attempt splits Id say Levis isn’t generally accurate downfield and the outlier is skewed by fewer attempts
What that says to me is that on the average play, Hooker is the guy you want.
AR is far sighted. Maybe he should have his eyes checked. Seriously.

those deep crosser routes that Goff and BJ love and work so well off of play action under center are about 15-20 yards downfield. Given Strouds accuracy there and his experience actually playing under center makes me think if we were taking a QB he should be the pick
Well since Stroud won’t be there when it’s our turn I still believe it will be one of Carter, Witherspoon or Wilson.

Given Strouds
He’s not going to be there. Unless we move up?
Hooker is more accurate overall on intermediate depth routes. He’s lacking in 1-5 and 31+. He doesn’t suck, mind you. No red in his game! And, more green than anyone else.
I’ve been saying, “he’s the best QB in this draft”. There it is, in shades of red and green.
Also, just noticed that Young looks like Kellen Moore on the chart. NFL defenses are going to force him to throw long.
Two words: Jaren Hall
That is all.
This is interesting stuff, but I’d wager a lot of it depends on the difficulty of the throws a specific offense is calling for a specific depths with frequency. If your offense isn’t asking your qb to throw a comeback at a certain depth, the qb isn’t getting dinged for the difficulty of that throw.

It can’t. But it has lots of colors.
