Question

Give me 5 and 18.

I agree, but I think hell will freeze over before the Dolphins give up pick 18 to move up two spots

Crazier trades have been made.

Hell I’d settle for 5 and 27 or 5 and their 2 2nds.

Frankly this is all gravy.

I realize that. If we’re talking about Fields, Lawrence or Burrow, sure. I mean I guess if Tua’s hip checks out perfectly. My understanding is that absolute best case scenario is that his hip is arthritic by his late 20s or so.

To me the real question is who else besides Miami can come up with a deal that lands us a second first round pick as well as possibly something else in the second or a swap that brings us into the second for our third? I don’t think San Diego has draft Capital to do that, nor does anyone else so while I like the idea that we can get a boatload of pics from Miami I don’t see anyone else able to come close to their deal. They will know that and that will keep our return to a reasonable offer instead of the crazy offers I was seeing yesterday being published by Jeff risdon. So if we had to trade three and 97 or whatever we have in the third round to get five 18 + 80 something oh, I probably do that

The game was a great one , Ohio State was robbed …The Wade ejection for targeting on Lawrence was ridiculous and a huge loss . The strip fumble by Jeff Okudah returned for a TD was exactly that and they reversed the call on what grounds ? At the very least it stands as called .

Dobbins to me is head and shoulders a better RB then Etienne with the exception of the long speed. Dobbins top speed is great , it’s the endurance to keep it up over a long distance …& that can improve some. The shorter legs have limits but his stride is so compact it’s a benefit in every other situation . He could learn a bunch from watching Barry long stride when needed .

Dobbins vision , contact balance, suddenness, start and stop, inside running , yards after contact, blocking, versatility & receiver skills…Dobbins all day.
The catching of the football (Receiver skills) Dobbins is the better rec and it’s not close , and that was clear even in that game . Etienne had 3 rec for big yards and the long speed showed well but the catches were easy ones. Dobbins TD catch to go up 16-0 at the beginning of the second quarter was incredible .
Dobbins 2018 tape as a receiver is silly good with Haskins. Circus like catches , soft hands , body control , hands catcher and was often split out.

Like I said I’m bias but LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this kid at RB .

To me an offer from the Chargers will require their 1st and 2nd round picks this year, and their first rounder next year. That’s pretty much what the Texans and Chiefs paid to move up and draft Watson/Mahomes. They had to move up further, but they were also only moving up to picks 12 and 10 respectively. Pick 3 is more expensive.

This is a good year to get a RB who can run. Besides Etienne, Chuba Hubbard (if he comes out) and Anthony McFarland are both blazers. I think they’ll all run under 4.4.

Mike Dikta trading the New Orleans franchise for Ricky Williams comes to mind.

I’d trade down for #5 and #18, and hope to get Derrick Brown at 5 and Espenesa at 18, or maybe Yetur Gross-Matos. In the 2nd I’d be looking to get LB Anfernee Jennings or CB Bryce Hall.

Leake is better than McFarland IMO. I do like McFarland though. Leake is also an elite KR. I realize the value of that has been marginalized but it’s still a nice cherry on top.

Reggie Corbin of Illinois has some serious juice as well.

Love Chubba, as I’ve mentioned to you, but if we’re waiting until round 5 or later Corbin or Leake would be my preference
