I’m trying to start a trend of going to a lions game every year. I went to Indianapolis two years ago and Chicago last year. There are no away games worth going to. Ive heard going to a Detroit game is pretty expensive but i have a few questions:
1. How much would a hotel be by the stadium? Are there any gyms in the area?
2. What are the good restaurants?
3 my friend will be looking for a deal for Lions tickets but how much should i be expecting?
4. Anyone give first responder discounts?
1 - good amount of hotels around downtown. $300 per night on a game weekend. (Greek town/ motor city etc)
2 - where to start… so many good options. From fancy (soon Michelin star), to breweries, to sports bars. Just depends what your looking for. Most of them all walking distance.
3 -Tickets are the BIG reason for the expense. $300+ each after fees for top row. $500+ for lower.
4 - im not aware of any for the 2nd hand market. Since the season is sold out.
But its definitely worth it. definitely more expensive than it was 5-10 years ago. But the team and downtown is also better.
