they are playing well however the Wings are 5-11-1 when they dont score 4 goals or more. They need a top pair defender badly. Edvisson is good but hes a #3. Not top pair.
As for the standings.
0.12 points per game separates 2nd place from 11th less than 1 point per 8 games!
Thats first place in the Atlantic to behind 3 teams for the wild card. Its crazy tight in the east this year

I love how we traded for DeBrincat, he literally wins us this game tonight, and Illitch and his pawns see that and are just like “nah” when presented with the opportunity to do more.

Last 8 years or so. The 8/9th team was around 90 points. Not 12th!

Proof is in the pudding, their farm team is better than I’ve seen in the last 25 years… Yes they have to produce in the NHL, but they’re really on the cusp, just gotta stay the course

I fear that this is an ownership issue.
Mr. I was chasing championships. I do not see that same commitment for the Wings or the Tigers. Both seemingly are being run more as business ventures.
I don’t mind solid fiduciary planning. That is smart.
Trading your Cy Young pitcher because you do not plan to pay him what the market value is… well now that should be a question.
