Reported deal on the table for Wings.
Edvison, Dannelson OR Kasper, and a “draft pick”
How dont you make that deal

WHO CARES?!?!?
A top 5 Blueliner in the NHL. For 2nd liner?
Are you ■■■■■■■ kidding me?
Hughes/ Seider would be the best blueline in the NHL. But whatever. Wait for the kids
Yzerman got the Harris blues. Or the Holmes blues.
Yeah it’s very disappointing. Hughes would have been a perfect fit for this team.
You aren’t going to aquire high end talent, which is what this team needs, for nothing. You are gonna have to pay to get these types of guys.
Yzerman dropped the puck on this one.
My question is why would Larkin want to stick around if they do miss the playoffs
I mean…he’s like Lidstrom right? A point man/QB…saves pucks and very calculated. Yzerman shopuyld have made this deal. I have to join the nancy’s in this rebuttal!
Maybe we are waiting for McDavid to get sick of all those big fat women in Canada, and we are saving our load to get him.

For all of the people who still think the Wings really are trying to build a winner, here is even more proof that it’s a straight lie. They had a chance to get a star player, who wanted to be here, but they refused to do the deal. They said it was because of Edvinsson? Not even close. It’s because Hughes will demand a lot of money. Illitch is only interested in signing guys who are dirt cheap fringe players. Just like the Tigers, Chris Illitch has no interest in paying and investing to win. It’s all about how to run the franchises as cheap as possible, while still being able to sell the mirage that they are trying to win. They would rather lose cheap than win while paying.

I applaud Hughes for keeping a long term signing option open after next year. However, he wasn’t happy in Vancouver BC which is one of the more attractive cities in the world and now he’s going to experience two winters in frigid Minnesota
Weigh that when he considers signing with Jersey and playing with his brothers which is still a high probability
I have to believe that Yzerman would only make a trade if an extension was signed as part of a trade. Otherwise you lose 4 top prospects which might happen in Minnesota
Let’s see what happens after 2027 season. It will be talked about
4 top prospects???
Getting a top 5 NHL player is worth it for a MINIMUM of 2 years. AND the Redwings could sign him for a massive 8 year deal.
The deal that would have gotten it done
Edvisson - Mid pair D.
“Draft picks” - wont be here till 2030
Rassmusen - bottom 6 fwd
Kasper OR Danielson - Bottom 6 fwd
are we really worried about 4 bottom 12 roster players in exchange for a top 5 NHL player?
And i thought Steve Y was brought in because he could bring in FA and get them to sign long term deals.
Aside from Kat what has he done exactly?
Anybody that thought it would take the Yzerman plan 30 years to work out…raise your hand.
(Yes I’m aware that I’m exaggerating but you get the point)
At this point the 11 year Holland plan is sounding better and better.
Only 3 years away from that.
I think every other NHL team has lapped the Wings.
Hit the bottom and brighter future.
Only one that i would say that hasn’t is Buffalo.

Take away his inheritance and what is Chris Illitch? Other than a pain in the ■■■■■■■ ass.
Sell the teams Chris. Sports obviously isn’t for you, you’re too much of a cheap a** for sports.
Yeah, I’m cool on that package. You dont give up a baby Hedman, your future #2 center, a soon to be top 6 winger and a 1st for Quinn. I absolutely wanted Quinn Hughes, I have since before his draft…but not at that. Trading away your #2 dman to get a guy who has better offense, but worse defense and would make your other promising undersized offensive dman (ASP) redundant and unnecessary is not the smart move.
