Rake is struggling a bit and that’s to be expected. He’s rusty and needs reps.
I honestly think he’s going to have a lot of ups and downs this year if he manages to stay healthy.
He will get better if he can get reps and playing time.

I still think it’s all BS. Until he actually gets cut I’m going to predict Rake makes the team and challenges for that starting outside spot.

If it’s from A to Z Sports about the Lions, it’s probably a Mike Payton article. Which means it’s trash and you can disregard it.

Mike Payton is a hack, I stopped watching anything he put out awhile ago. But he does ask a good question about how he fits.

Whiteside is likely out again, like last year
Not a chance, young with upside. Played fairly well in limited action LY. Has only made strides TY in camp.

Nick Whiteside is coming to play. He is a for real option at CB. 6’0”, turned 26 May 1st and now in his 3rd NFL camp. Two with the Commanders, 1 season USFL and now two camps with the Lions.
If Nick is our 5th/6tn CB that is a good thing:
DJ Reed, Rock Ya Sin, Rakestraw, Abney, Whiteside and Dorsey for my picks. McCreary out. Izien at nickle with Abney depth.
