Like Brad, I think Les has earned the benefit of the doubt here.
Rams had a good draft. Fiske/Verse with Turner is a tough front.

I believe Fiske was in our “bucket” of 7 or so guys that somoene figured out we were targeting in the 1st round. Reuniting Verse and Fiske seemed to mean something the Rams as well, because they did what they could to make sure Verse was a part of the call to Fiske.
I would definitely have Les on speed dial. Betcha Carolina wants a do-over on that Brian Burns offer.
What’s the longest run for a non-owner GM? Fact is, the job is going to end at some point. So why wouldn’t you go after the guys you believe in? I guess that’s part of what I admire about the way Brad and Les operate, they aren’t constrained by the conventional wisdom of the talking heads, when their team hits the field, it’s the team they believe in.
They had an EXCELLENT draft last year and this one looks just as good.
