Redraft Chase or Sewell

Did you see Sewell pushing the running back to the end zone today? He’s the kind of player who never seems to get injured unless someone hits him from his blind side. Since Sewell is 100% on every play, can we now say he was the right pick, even though there were plans to trade up and get Chase? What’s your performance evaluation of Chase so far?

Chase is a great receiver. But I’ll take the combo of Sewell and Amon from that draft a million times out of a million

Chase is fantastic maybe best wr in the league…

Sewell is fantastic IS the best T in the league. Happy with how it ended up

This offense aint the same without Sewell. Meanwhile a skill player like Laporta is out, we score 52 points. Sewell over Chase all day.

A great tackle is much more rare than a great receiver.

Sewell unless you are the Bengals and have Burrow. Putting those two together was a worth it.

Sewell is a home run for the Lions.

Factor in the longevity of Sewell’s career if he stays healthy and it’s a no brainer for me. Chase will hit the wall in his early 30’s. Sewell has the ability to play at a high level until he’s 40. Trent Williams 2.0

I have to admit Sewell wasn’t on my radar during that draft. It was Fields first and Chase right after him. But to do it all over again I have to say I was wrong and take Sewell

I remember how excited Brad and Dan were when we drafted Sewell and I figured he had to be a special player.

Huge respect for admitting that. Thank heavens we didn’t draft Fields.

He he ,me too ,I was in fields bandwagon for my dual threat qb and I was booed :joy:. But was not wrong on Russell Wilson ,with a decent team Wilson is good

Now part of that was I thought Sewell would go before the Lions pick. But in even saying that I was so enamored with Fields that I would picked him still if I was in charge. It’s exactly why I’d never run a team

But anything possible with this offensive line , remember first year of goff :grinning:

Sewell is a generational 1st ballot HoF type talent. No regrets about a single part of that pick.

I’d take Sewell alone over Chase. Great receiver but we’re talking a guy tracking to be an all time great tackle and one of the great leaders in this game, culture changer.

I’ve always compared him to Orlando Pace and he has not proven me wrong on that

Sewell wasn’t supposed to be there… Pitts @ 4 and Waddle @ 6 really helped the Lions. They got help the next year when Jacksonville didn’t take Hutch… Those two Cornerstone picks will drive this team for a decade

WRs are a dime a dozen.
Never belived in drafting WR high unless they are the last missing piece for a team.

Or they are generational talent with no other great option available.

Chase is good not generational.
Sewell will go down as a top 5 OT of the era

I love Jamo and hes been HUGE for the lions.

However. I think this team would have been better off drafting Jermaine Johnson or Karlaftis in the first round and pickens in the 2nd but again. Cant really complain at all.

In Brad we trust
