I do not remember where I watched it but there were a bunch of WR explaining that you need to run through that type of contact. Do not run to the contact but through it.
Also I did not see extended arms. If anything that Def Holding
They also explained that if you do not run through it you will end up a couple yards short of the 1st down. That you can not let the DB dictate the depth of you routes
I still see a DB trying to block his way over 10 yards down the field which is 100% illegal

That play was marked short of a 1st down anyway and didn’t the Packers stop us on 4th down? Wasn’t that this sequence of events or was Patrick’s catch that was also marked short? I forget as there were at least three bad spots for the Lions.

I have seen it flagged multiple times…as illegal contact on the defense…against the Lions. Several times it was called against us…against the Packers…when they threw an incomplete pass on 3rd down.
