Report: Lions 1 of several teams to talk to Brown about Za’Darius Smith trade

Other teams are going to price us out and we’re going to be forced to spend those assets on Maxx instead. Ugh. Terrible.

We have the wrong stadium for that.

Mad Maxx: Beyond Silverdome would have been awesome.

Well technically, beyond the Silverdome was… Ford Field.

All we want is life beyond Thunderdome

Za’Darius is 32 years old.

If any gm gives up more than a 5th-rounder, he should be fired

This is the move that I think is most likely, meaningful help on the edge without breaking the bank.

I think a 5th is right. Maybe a bidding war pushes it up to a 4th.

Plus every other teams 5th rounder is a better pick than the Lions… We will be picking dead last after the parade

True

Exactly, which is why if we really want Smith, it will take a 4th.

How would The Den feel about this trade:

DET: Receive Garrett & Smith

CLE: Receives our 1st & 2nd Round picks in 2025, our 2nd & 5th Round picks in 2026, and Hendon Hooker

Thoughts? Some scuttlebutt out there with these parameters.

We’d pop champagne and get our ring fingers sized.

Lions talk live said we are getting both Smith and Garrett for 2025: 1st and 2nd 2026: 2nd and 5th and Hendon Hooker.

Lions talk live is never wrong.

Isn’t “Lions talk live” that high school girls basketball coach we talked about in the offseason?

Because that guy is almost as right as you are.

It guaranteed he is the man!!!

only if we 110% sure that we can sign Sudfeld off of his couch to come in as a backup :cowboy_hat_face:

In the random world where we actually pulled that off, I would think the price would be 2 1sts, a 2nd, and Hooker for a couple 6ths or 5ths.

It’s a spin off.
