He’s got a point. We should have won by 20. Or lost by 20.

When the Lins beat the Vikings and Seahawks beat the Bears, everyone will have us back at #1.

Not trying to hijack your thread, but in other news where someone said something stupid, Dan O. was literally joking yesterday about running out of the end zone. Then with a sheepish smile said, “and the kicker was that we lost that game 12-10”. Yeah Dan, you’re real funny.

Max Kellerman is an idiot.

When asked who he would want with the “fate of the universe on the line” to take a final shot in an NBA game, Kellerman famously chose Andre Iguodala over superstars like LeBron James and Stephen Curry.

  • The Quote: Starting around 2016, Kellerman repeatedly insisted that Tom Brady was “just about done” and would “fall off a cliff” and become a “bum in short order”.
  • Why it’s mocked: Brady went on to win multiple additional Super Bowls, play into his 40s at an elite level, and completely defy the timeline Kellerman laid out.

I mean honestly, he could be right. I realize he loves a dumb hot take, but those are fair points and I can’t say I didn’t notice a little of what he said. The important part is we got the win. But, for the record, I also think we were very close to blowing them out of the stadium.

The best part of this team is that I don’t think they’ve peaked yet. They are still rough around the edges.

You can not pick almost all the games each week as to why someone “should have lost”… when they win it anyways..

This is just another hot take off one weeks results. He’s not wrong that we were pretty much gifted this game. The Packers still lost but I guess an ugly loss is better than an ugly win in his eyes.

I believe whoever won the game could have been viewed as “being gifted the game”. That is the weird part.

We fumbled and gave them the ball 2 times, not because of what they did it was us shooting ourselves in the foot. We also had terrible calls go against us like the Barnes unnecessary roughness.

It was a sloppy game by both teams that ended how you expect, with people questioning who the better team really was. But stances like this twist it into a Packers got screwed and dropped the game away while ignoring the fact that we almost gift wrapped it for them with our own failings.

This truly was a game where both teams had opportunities to win or lose, got jobbed by officiating, and made dumb decisions/mistakes.

Drew Brees says the same thing without saying it as a hot take. There are 6 teams from the nfc north and nfc west that could be playoff teams. The two who aren’t are Detroit and Arizona

He’s not wrong. The Lions are the 7th best team in conference. 3 better teams in NFC north and 3 better teams in NFC west. Packers and Lions are close but I think the other 5 teams are clearly better than the Lions.

Alot of people (including Kellerman) think Jacobs dropped that ball. Barnes tipped it, that’s why Jacobs didn’t come up with it. You can’t have a PBU and a drop on the same ball.
Edit - actually Barnes was not credited with a PBU and Jacobs was credited with a drop. So Kellerman just read the box score and not the replay showing the Barnes tip.

This is really the only explanation for such a strict stance on the game overall as they wouldnt realize the two fumbles the lions lost were complete flukes or the barnes unnecessary roughness was horseshit.

I believe that to be true also.

It’s hard for me to imagine the defense will look as clueless as the season progresses as it did early on. The OL is ascendant with Mays back and B-la-ke initiated to the NFL. Let’s see what the Injury Gods have to say; they’ve been very nice to us so far. It makes me nervous…
