Agreed. Even what many perceive to be the worst of us deserve some grace at their end.
I don’t want to speak I’ll of the dead but some people don’t deserve mercy, and the more I have read about Smith…I don’t think he is deserving.
Sounds like he left a trail of victims and took the cowards way out. We all deal with demons, obviously some are greater then others but that can’t always be an excuse.
My prayer go out to his family but more so his victims. I will not mention his allegations but a quick google search will bring you up to speed.

Yep. Smith was actually having a decent season in 2010 for us. He had I think 5 picks in a 6 game stretch. He was looking like he could be one of those low level guys who comes from nowhere when given a chance on a bad team. Brady absolutely destroyed him and any notion of that. That game was 45-24, and it was 17-10 Detroit at the half. We thought we had a chance… 
What did he do? I see a post on Twitter about being a pedophile but all when I google Alphonso Smith crimes it talks about a 44 year old. A different Alphonso Smith it would seem.
Alphonso Smith in his twitter post said he was molested by an older woman in his teen years, and he made similar mistakes, because his mind was messed up for what happened to him. From the article above:

Do we know of the specific crime yet? I read the tweet. So I get that something is up but I can’t find a police report or nothing. Though Google seems to have gotten worse in the AI era so perhaps it is erroneously pulling the 44 years of age and maintaining It’s a different guy.
Not that I saw, but I also wonder if we were about to hear about it. It’s possible someone said they were going to the authorities, and he couldn’t handle it becoming public and took care of himself.
That does seem logical. If he’s a pedophile then we should change the thread title back to “RIP Alonzo Smith”.
