Beautifully stated, per usual. In your example, look at all the people little Johnny already owes money to before he even gets out of high school, and will continue to pay money to if he continues to throw balls well enough in college and ::gasp:: becomes the 1% to make it into the pros.
Or worse and more likely, all the people he may still owe money to even after he flames out because he can’t compete with Big Billy Ballchucker, and Little Johnny’s custodian paychecks are being garnished until he’s 35 years old.
That’s one hell of an education.

For the longest time, people who followed recruiting closely always took Rivals ratings with a grain of salt because they only ranked players who attended their camps. This is more of the same and will only hurt their credibility.
