The NFI-Illness list is separate from IR, so it doesn’t count to bring him back.
Just a way to open a roster spot for an important game, then possibly get him back in playoffs.
Teams can activate two players from NFI-Illness per season. It’s also what Mahagony was on.
So another way to skirt the number of IR activations, which they are running out of.

Just looked him up… Hasn’t played a snap since 2022. 94 career defenisve snaps played.

I wouldn’t be surprised if Mosely didn’t play another defensive snap for the Lions.
I also wouldn’t be surprised if he was pressed into service at some point in the playoffs.
It takes a lot to surprise me anymore.

Never saw him play and he’s instantly better than Vildoe.

Fair enuf. Poor guy. To fight so hard to come back and be unable to participate in an incredible season like this, one to which he could have made a big contribution.
I still give him a small chance. There won’t be a market for him; his next contract, if any, will be a 1-year won’t be worth much; he knows the scheme; and with any luck at all he’ll actually be healthy and fit going into camp. He’ll be 29 next season and the Lions really don’t have another “seasoned veteran” in the DB room if Davis doesn’t come back.
